Absolute worst attorney ever

Worst attorney ever. Didn’t argue the case, didn’t respond to court documents, completely missed court date. Had a pretty easy case. Elliot screwed it yo so bad that it ended in a result that should never have been and many people are suffering as a result and way more fees / expenses than necessary ...were incurred. Do yourself a favor and steer clear.

Getting the Job Done!

Exceptional service from an experienced family law attorney! After struggling with two previous attorneys, I found a true advocate in Elliot. His expertise and dedication were evident as they navigated my case through family court. Elliot not only provided invaluable support but also successfully med...iated on my behalf, achieving positive outcomes, that I did not have with TWO previous attorneys. My only regret was not finding Elliot earlier - as my divorce would have been finalized much quicker (saving me a ton of money) and the positive outcomes would have been attained much sooner. I highly recommend his services to anyone seeking a skilled and compassionate family law attorney.

Best all around Divorce Attorney

When I first hired Elliot, I told him I was looking for a quick divorce. I thought my divorce would move along quickly. How wrong I was! Not only was my divorce immediately contentious, violence and chaos ensued soon after my filing. To be quite frank, I was embarrassed and unprepared. Elliot is n...ot only knowledgeable in divorce, and custody issues, but he is also a great communicator. He was there for me in a way that went beyond the call of duty at times. He was able to handle a plethora of issues that came up during the most inopportune times. My divorce dragged on for over two years. It was very costly but Elliot was the constant professional and he got me the BEST outcome given my circumstances. If you have a complex divorce or in need of attorney who offers excellent legal advice with a healthy dose of emotional support, he is your guy! I highly recommend him.

Highly recommended

Met Elliot through a divorcing friend. Elliot did an outstanding job in an alimony termination agreement. Unlike many attorneys, Elliot cared more about getting the settlement done than running up a huge legal bill. He never lost sight of the larger picture. I highly recommend Elliot Solop

Elliot is everything a great attorney should be

I met Elliot when he was a first-year associate at another law firm, and I was in search of a new family attorney less than a year after my bed & board (financial) divorce was signed. My original attorney made so many mistakes with my case and was terrible with numbers (money, settlement, support etc...), I ended up having to hire 2 accountants to fix her mess. During a divorce with a dissolution of assets along with child support and/or alimony you need an intelligent attorney who is great with numbers, I learned this the hard way. So, when my ex stopped paying child support for months ($15K), I refused to go back to my original attorney, her mistakes cost me a lot of money and some of the original agreement wording has haunted my life since. Family and friends recommended that I go see a reputable attorney at Ansel, Grimm, & Aarons. I think I met with the wrong person, we did not hit it off, but then she brought in Elliot. She was passing me off to her first-year associate, thinking I was broke and not knowing I have $5k in cash on my person that day. From the moment I met Elliot it was obvious that not only was he hungry to prove himself as an attorney but also that he really cared about helping me and my children. This was something I had not experienced from any attorney, true empathy. That was just the beginning. Since the very first motion Elliot wrote for my case 7 years ago, to the motion he just wrote a few months ago, to the agreement he just crafted last month in mediation during Covid; he has consistently delivered for me. I just walked away with the sweetest covid deal ever, of course I had to give concessions, that is how it works, but I got what mattered and more importantly, I now have 3 years of peace and that is thanks to Elliot. It takes a lot to impress me, I have an extraordinarily strong personality, I question everything, and yes, I am difficult on a good day. Yet Elliot has never let me down, even the times when I have yelled, screamed and cried to him. In fact, he has gone above and beyond a few times to fix errors someone else made. Together we have had 2 mediations and several other motions to the court for cause. Elliot is right 90% of the time, and that other 10%, is the unforeseen, that no one can account for. This is my experience and not an exaggeration. The only time I went to court without Elliot, I was being cheap, it was another arrears hearing and figured I could do it myself. BIGGEST mistake ever. Sure, I won but my ex called in his attorney and I was too embarrassed to call Elliot, so I walked away with a win and nothing tangible. With Elliot, I walk away with so much more, every single time! In my opinion, as well as my experience, Elliot is everything a GREAT Attorney should be: Professional, composed, honest, confident, compassionate, creative and great with numbers ($$). He is also highly respected by his peers, every attorney, mediator and judge I have encountered with Elliot at my side truly respect him as a formidable adversary and great litigator. My ego absolutely inflates walking in any situation with Elliot as my attorney. You are probably thinking, why creative, why is that so important for an attorney to be? Well NJ is ranked in the top 3 most expensive states to live in but also in the bottom 3 states for child support. It is completely upside down and vastly different from 25 years ago. You will waste more money going to court than you will ever win in this liberal state. You need an attorney who is great with numbers and creative, I learned that through Elliot. His legal creativity and understanding of finance have had me walking away from the table better than anything a judge would rule for me. You cannot lose with Elliot if you trust and listen to him.
