My journey through a chapter 13 was at first scary and nerve racking being a single woman experiencing this alone. However, Mr Brumel was there for me every step of the way. For instance, over the course of five years, there were different concerns that would pop up randomly. which is to be exp...ected in a 60-month time frame...anything is liable to happen. Yet, Mr Brumel and his staff made time to assist me in any manner even if it meant after his office hours via email or by phone at times. During the years I listened to his guidance and followed his direction, as he was willing to hear my concerns and work toward the best resolution that would work for me. Not to mention the challenging situations whereby I thought nothing would work and low and behold Mr Brumel would figure out something to manage the issue. Mr Brumel is very knowledgeable as well as professional. Additionally, he never made me feel like I was just another client with a nagging chapter 13. In fact, over the years I have learned a great deal from him, due to his willingness to give an explanation and provide clarity if I did not understand something. On a personal note, I have been in the customer service industry for many years and it is this type of service that I have welcomed and recommend to anyone. I had a stroke that left me with a serious brain injury including lesions that affect my memory and my ability to focus on day-to-day matters that I took for granted my whole life. I was self-employed. Because of my medical condition I lost work and became overwhelmed with debt that snowballed into ...a catastrophic financial nightmare including foreclosure of my home, medical bills because I had no insurance, and failure to pay “parent plus loans” for my daughter’s college tuition. One of my attorney friends referred me to Warren and said he has an excellent reputation for helping people. Now, five months later my financial nightmare has been dealt with by this good man, this good attorney, Warren Brumel. Chapter 7 took care of my basic debt, medical bills, and foreclosure of my house. Prior to meeting with Warren, I never considered filing for Social Security Disability. It was my understanding that short of paying the “Parent Plus Loans” off, I would be paying the loans until I died or won a lottery. I never realized that the effects of my brain injury may actually qualify me for Social Security Disability – one of the very few ways to discharge a “Parent Plus Loan”. None of my lawyer friends ever suggested that to me. Nothing I found on the internet ever got that “exception” across to me. I know I am not a doctor, but I am very confident that the medical records of my brain injury will qualify me for Social Security Disability. To my surprise, Warren gives all of his clients several handouts to take home to read. These handouts clearly helped me understand and remember what he needed me to know. I am thoroughly satisfied with Warren’s advice and representation. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone considering bankruptcy. His demeanor is down-to-earth. Warren and his team took care of our Ch.7 about 5 years ago... From the initial consultation through the discharge he made us feel comfortable, well informed and confident we were in good hands. The process went exactly as he described and we were able to start fresh.Recently Warren helped us to quic...kly resolve a matter with a creditor that posted late's to the credit bureaus for a major account included in the discharge. Without Warren's assistance and tenacity in resolving the matter we would still be caught in limbo with the creditor. Thank you and Jaci for all of your help!
