I was facing my second DUI along with a refusal and an array of other charges, 5 all together. I happen to be looking on this site that I am writing this review on, in search of an attorney that wouldn't just take my money like my first DUI I faced. I happened to stumble on Mr. Lederman's reviews an...d everyone seemed satisfied by his performance, so I decided to meet up with him, and he was very upfront and honest, and did not promise me anything, but I did feel like he would give his all in my case. Here I am almost a year later facing a 4 year suspension, and over 10 grand in fines, and today I walked out of court with a 6 month suspension, and under $300 in fines. I just want to say thank you to Mr. Lederman and his paralegal Jessica, for never giving up. To all the people that are reading this, not only is Mr. Lederman the greatest lawyer, he really cares about your well being and safety.

I was facing a DUI with a 7 month suspension. While I had plenty of referrals for lawyers from friends and family to use I am so glad I decided to do research and found avvo.com. The reviews led me to Mr. Lederman and the reviews don't lie. Mr. Lederman is great! Being very unknown in the laws a...nd court systems, Mr. Lederman spent the time to explain and go over everything and answered any questions I had. He walked me through the process and gave me a peace of mind during the long process when I wasn't sure what was going to happen next. He was able to get the DUI down to reckless driving with a 90 day suspension. He knows what he is talking about and will give you straight information and not sugar coat the bad stuff. I fully recommend him if you are facing DUI charges in NJ.

I ran into some trouble, no pun intended. I was facing very serious consequences. The first thing I did, was, of course, to do on line searches based on my case. Several firms, and names came up that specialized in this particular field of DUI/DWI. I proceeded to call the different suggestions ba...sed on the online reviews. When I called Mr. Lederman’s office, I had a feeling my search was over. Immediately, his staff was courteous and professional but above all empathetic. I was told Mr. Lederman would call me back that same day. Within an hour, I had the “call.” That call, actually really changed my life. More than just handling the legal aspects of my case, I sensed that Mr. Lederman was about more. He was about arriving at the root cause and addressing how to resolve the matter at the core. He made me realize that I had to take ownership of the issue and to come up with a plan on how to go forward. It is this, that was key in my defense. He was then able to easily demonstrate to the justice system, that while yes, I had erred, I did enact a plan to not only change the behavior but to ensure the safety and wellbeing of others. In person, his care and demeanor were simply magnified with his quirky sense of humor. He is a very astute man and very capable in his field. He views the issue at hand and devises winning strategies. In a sense, you become a team member and he coaches you on how to enact the appropriate change. Because of his extensive expertise and experience he is well connected with the right group of people who also are able to view the situation and further the actions towards successful outcomes. I was referred to people he has worked with in the past. At first, of course, one may think, this is just a ploy to get more money out of you. It isn’t. Everything that was recommended was with and for good reasons. I faced 4 years’ loss of driving privileges at the very least. I did end up with just a 6 month suspension. After all, I did have to take responsibility for my actions. But the process helped me. His way was the right way. He is worth every penny. I’ve had to hire a lawyer in a previous similar case. I only wish I had done as much research as I did this time. Had I had Mr. Lederman in that instance, I probably wouldn’t have had this second experience. I hired Mr. Lederman to represent me for a DWI, Reckless Driving, and Underage DUI charges. He worked with my parents and I to give us a great understanding of what was going on and what to expect. He was extremely thorough with the discovery and walked us through every page of the information that h...e received. He highlighted the important sections that would be key in making a strong case on my behalf. This is not an easy experience and is very stressful on the one being charged and his or her loved ones. He was very understanding of my parents and was very nice to my mother when she was upset or did not understand what he was talking about. In the end he was able to get the blood results thrown out, which led to the prosecutor dropping all the severe charges. While in court the judge attempted to sneak hidden charges and certain information that should have been suppressed but was not. He immediately identified this and fought back instantly winning on my behalf. Ultimately, I ended up with: loss of license for 90 days, $33 in court charges, 12 hours of alcohol counseling, and 20 day of community service. I would suggest that anyone who can afford this level of representation to do so because you do not want to end up with a DWI conviction. Mr. Lederman will do everything within his power to make sure this does not happen.

Where do I start with my gratitude and sheer reverence for the excellent job Peter has done in both my DWI cases. I was facing a 3rd offense in 2009 , speeding when officer pulled me over, realized I had a few drinks, and charged me with DWI. Peter wrote an excellent PCR( Post Conviction Relief) pet...ition, which got my 2nd offense essentially thrown out , allowing the 3rd offense to become my 2nd for sentencing purposes. This got me 2 years suspension instead of 10 and no jail time. Peter accomplished this even though the petition was outside the 5 year period , he was able to persuade the judge to hear our PCR and agree to the relief! This was no small feat and took a lawyer with the knowledge and expertise Peter possesses to accomplish that. In 2014 , I was again in the same predicament , facing a 3rd offense after a car crash that only involved my car. I was not driving the vehicle when the officer arrived, but because I was noticeably intoxicated and the only person on the scene; the officer proceeded to arrest me and charge me with DWI. Blood was drawn to prove the intoxication and the case went to the courts. Peter filed motions to suppress the blood evidence and expertly argued the case before the superior court. He filed other motions to try to ensure all available defenses/legal arguments where presented. Through and because of Peter’s legal maneuvering , court felt they could not prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt , and dismissed the DWI ! I plead guilty to reckless driving with 30 days license suspension and court fines. I cannot express what this has done for my family, Peter has given us our future back , a fresh start. Not only did he do his job as my defense lawyer, he also took keen interest in my treatment . Peter challenged me to get help and do any and all available alcohol rehabilitation to get well and remove alcohol from my life. I am humbled by the opportunity I have been given, and I must say I could not have done it without Peter H. Lederman. He is the BEST DWI/DUI lawyer, hands down ! He knows the law, knows his way around the courts , and is a wonderful , caring human being! Peter is the perfect counter balance to the long arm of the law and justice system when it comes to DWI/DUI,; he is worth every penny and then some.
