My ex husband got into serious trouble and god sent Mike to us. I have been working with him in last three to four years. Michael Chazen is an attorney I will always very highly recommend to anyone who is being charged in a criminal case. He got me bailed out after a week long source hearing in the Jersey Superior Court when my first lawyer couldn't do it, and then got me probation with no time in prison when I was pos...sibly looking at more than 10 years in my credit card fraud case involving the vitamins and supplements my company manufactures and sells through the Internet and and tv infomercials, which the prosecutor seemed to believe I illegally made millions and millions from,. This attorney is professional , trustworthy and very knowledgeable and was able to handle most of my court dates without me traveling back and forth from Illinois what probably would have been like 50 times. I showed up about 5 times and then after the first witness was over Michael and the prosecutor reached a deal for probation instead of the 7 years that the prosecutor wanted all along, and the judge let the jury go home and case ended. That day I said guilty and 2 months later I flew back to Jersey for the last time in my life and walked out of court and flew back to Illinois with probation as a free man. Michael spent two weeks preparing with me for the trial. Michael is very caring, gives you his home number, and treated me like family and because of him I'm still in business and putting my twin girls through college at the University of Chicago. Michael Chazen is the best if you need a criminal lawyer for a felony charge in jersey. This lawyer definitely got me out of a jam. He told me the deal up front and let me know all the possible situations from the charge and came through for me. he has a very fair fee compared to some of the guys ...in Newark that wanted like 100K up front. he did what he was supposed to do and got the job done. I got this lawyer through another lawyer in New Jersey for my very heavy criminal case that was being brought against me by the attorney general office in Jersey. The case finally ended the other month and I told him I was going to write this review. He said not necessary, but I am doing it anyway ...because of what he did for me. I was arrested with 7 other guys and the main target of a criminal indictment involving complicated business deals and the indictment said I did a lot of things that violated different criminal laws in this state. I did not think I was a criminal and I will say that but for this lawyer, I really could have been in a prison cell for 20 years and 10 years of no parole. That would have made me lose everything. When it was all finished after the 3rd year of the case, I got absolutely no jail except for the day I was arrested, and got the PTI diversion to divert me out of the criminal case completely. Michael is hard working, honest, always available and even gave me his home number, super smart, and a real good lawyer and advisor to have when you have a serious case and want a lawyer that will do what it takes to get the best you can. He read and knew every piece of paper they gave us in the case and that meant thousands and thousands pieces of paper. I cannot say enough good things about him. He has full integrity. I even gave the lawyer that gave me his name and number a Christmas gift to show my appreciation. My parents just got back all the bail they put up for me which was like their life savings after they sold their house and that is really great. This is a lawyer who gives lawyers a good name. A++++

hired michael for my wife's case, after we spent a ton of money on 2 other lawyers that couldn't get her anything better than a few years in jail which she almost took just to end it because that is what they get pushing her to do over and over. then we hire michael after we got a good reference for... him from retired prosecutor and he took over the case. and when he could not get a good plea for her from the prosecuting lawyer in her case, he decided that a trial with a jury was the way to go. judge said if she lost trial she could get up to 10 or 15 years jail. Then Picked the jury, and after the second witness, my wife got a diversion program with pti, so no criminal record for her. That is very important with her high job level at investment bank. He is easy going guy, got along really nice with the woman prosecuting the case and with the judge. from what we saw he has a low key nice guy style in courtroom that makes him liked by lawyers, judge, and his own client. so use this lawyer if you have a criminal case and want the best. legal fee was money well spent.
