Ana Milena Goncalves

I am a bilingual family law attorney based in Paramus, New Jersey, serving English and Spanish speaking clients in Bergen and Passaic counties. I help individuals and families navigate divorce, custody, support, and domestic violence matters in the Bergen and Passaic County Family Parts.

Before focusing exclusively on family law, I spent 18 years as a personal injury attorney, which means I know how to negotiate effectively and, when necessary, advocate forcefully in court. I am also a trained mediator and am completing my requirements to become a court-appointed mediator in New Jersey, a credential that reflects my commitment to helping families resolve disputes as efficiently and peacefully as possible.

Before law school, I worked as a caseworker in New York, which means I understand that behind every case file is a family under enormous stress. That combination: litigation experience, mediation training, and genuine compassion, is what I bring to my clients.

I earned a B.A. in Psychology and Sociology from SUNY Stony Brook and my law degree from Touro Law Center. I have been licensed in New Jersey since 2006 and in New York since 2007.

I am a member of the Hispanic Bar Association, the Bergen County Bar Association, the Passaic County Bar Association, the Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and ALPFA New Jersey.
