Brian Darnley Iton

I am a service member with a horrible property settlement agreement poorly negotiated 11 years ago by an attorney in NJ. I was paying child support not accurately calculated for all these years. After doing my due diligence, I was able to find Mr. Iton. He had held my hand throughout the whole proces...s with honesty, professionalism, and compassion. I was not another soldier for him. He has done a fantastic job. I thank God for all his help. And, I will hire him again to continue with custody, parenting time, visitation, and communication with the most important in my life…my children.

Brian is about solutions to problems. I worked with him on a very difficult divorce that involved two parties with polar opposite views of how custody should be set between the parties. Due to Brian's ability to work through all of the issues to get to the root of the problem, he was able to suggest ...a strategy that allowed both parties to settle that not even a judge could have done as good as a job. Brian is a lawyer's lawyer. What I mean by that is he knows the law and has an established background with much experience. He always works on the solutions. I heartily recommend Brian.

I retained Brian Iton to represent me for my divorce. He is a true professional which I highly recommend! This review is based on my experience as a client of Brian D. Iton, Esquire. Brian was not a referral, let's start there, I found Brian via the internet and needless to say, I was afraid, not knowing what type of individual/professional he was and, here I was about to trust this person to see me th...rough the most difficulty time of my life!! I was an out-of-state client to boot - no face time to judge his body language or demeanor. Brian turned out to be a God-send, from the moment he said hello and introduced himself, his voice had a calming effect on me. I proceeded to introduce myself and to explain everything to him over the phone. He calmly explained what my options were and what he could do for me, He told me if I were interested in having him represent me, what that would entail in terms of his rate, expenses and documents he would need from me. We verbally agreed that he would represent me in my divorce. He then informed me of our first step (out of many) on how we were going to commence. I thought once I sent my money for my retainer I would never hear from this person again, but even before he received my payment, he was busy gathering documents and contacting my spouse's lawyer, just like he said he would...and it did not take him weeks to do so. He responded to my calls in a timely fashion except for days when he was in court but still he would let me know he would get back to me when he was available. He always kept his word. He always kept me in the loop, though I was out-of-state and, out-of-my-mind (smiles) with worry and anxiety. He always made me feel as though I was right there talking to him. There were days he was also my therapist (smiles) thankfully, he did not charge extra for that service (smiles). He was always thoughtful and consider not only of my state-of-mind but of my money. He did not try to pick the lint from my pocket. Whenever there were additional expenses he try to keep them within reason and explained why they were necessary and he would obtain my permission to incur these expenses on my behalf. I was present for our day in court though Brian said it was not necessary. He was prepared and guided me through the process before we went before the court. Needless to say, the divorce proceedings went smoothly, after my divorce was finalized he was still ever present, and followed-up with the court instructions and other details regarding agreements that were put in place. My spouse on the other hand was not having a good experience with his lawyer whom, he found right in our old neighborhood in NJ (I wonder about that sometimes). Some of my friends and other professionals said, they have never known a divorce to go as smoothly as mine. I smile, and in my mind, I say THANK GOD for Brian!! Overall, Brian Iton is a polished professional in his field, he has integrity, he is honest, driven but with a calm disposition, he is knowledgeable and does his best to expedite matters with a favorable outcome for this client.
