Biography
Scott Laterra is a dedicated family law attorney in Hackensack and one of the founding partners at Laterra & Hodge, LLC. He is a Certified Matrimonial Trial Attorney, a distinction awarded by the New Jersey Supreme Court to only 2% of the lawyers in the state. He started his career at Rider University, where he graduated with his undergraduate degree. He then attended Seton Hall University School of Law for his Juris Doctor. Attorney Laterra was selected for Avvo’s “Client’s Choice Award” in 2015 and was recognized by the New Jersey State Bar Association for Contributions to the Amicus Curiae Brief in Lewis v. Consultation for Child Custody Case
Scott was very helpful and honest when consulting with me. While some lawyers may take advantage and prey on a client during a vulnerable time, Scott gave me trustworthy advise and comfort during a nerve racking situation. Very professional and reliable from what I've experienced so far.

Divorce following mediation
Mr Laterra was my lawyer for divorce that was finalized in August 2014. I started with mediation in January with a different lawyer - which was a disaster. The mediation lawyer was not responsive. Scott and his assistant Valentina were genuinely helpful and very professional. From start till the end they were there for me. There were very reasonable in their billing as well. I wish there are more law firms like them. I highly recommend them.

Why go any where else??
