BEST IMMIGRATION LAWYER PERSON!

Mr. Harlan York is the best immigration attorney I have spoken to. Why? His legal advice and counseling come second. First, I felt treated as a person not a client, with empathy and attention. Second, I was given a chance to speak and explain my situation and never felt at pressure of spending his ti...me and/or uncomfortable while chatting with him. After listening, Mr. York gave me true, precise, specific, and professional advice about my situation. He is very legally alphabetic person. It was not about charging fees, as many other legal aid secretaries ask for before you can even hear the attorney’s voice. With Mr. York, as it has always been, it is about listening and identifying with your case, it is about him wanting to help you, it is about loving what he does, not from the money side, but getting involved to resolve your case. He will not close the door to your face because you cannot pay for a consultation fee. That happened with me. He answered my call personally again today, after almost two years of non-communication. And for free. Finally, what I appreciate the most is his honesty. He is brutally honest, something we see less and less nowadays, especially in the “legal” world. He will listen to you, and if there is not much to be done in one’s case (because of the law) he will tell you straight forward. I wonder where he finds his time to assist so many people like me. Service, Subject matter expertise, Personal touch… phenomenal outcome.

We engaged Harlan York and Associates after consulting with several other law firms, searching various web based sources, and speaking with attorneys who practice immigration law. We had previously had our case handled by another firm which didn’t perform anything efficiently except their process for... sending us bills for services. In meeting with Mr. York and his team, he was very up front in helping us understand how his team would handle our case, the process we would have to follow, and how the case would most likely unfold. He explained how his firm would handle the case, the risks, potential outcomes (good and bad), and the fee’s associated with the case. There were no false promises associated with his explanations, just a clear and easily understood portrayal of what his firm would be doing and the costs associated with this. As our case was an application for lawful status under the VAWA provision, and we were as risk for deportation, there were many complications and nuances that had to be managed through. Mr. York assigned our case to Maggie Dunsmuir, who not only has phenomenal expertise and knowledge in VAWA, but is thorough, thoughtful, empathetic, patient, and was always available to us during the 12 months that we worked with her. Although the VAWA requirements are complex and not entirely black and white, she took the time to thoroughly understand our situation and, over the course of many months, developed our case and ultimately the VAWA application in a manner that provided the most compelling argument possible that we were eligible for VAWA status based on the standards. We had many multi-hour meetings with her at her office and we never felt rushed. She was bought into our case 100%, and many times I felt like she wanted to achieve a successful outcome for us as much as we did for ourselves. We exchanged many emails and phone calls over this time. She was always there for us and her follow up was timely, thorough, and thoughtful. In May of 2015 she called us with the news we had been waiting for – the VAWA application was approved !! We were ecstatic and had a hard time processing this great piece of information. Now we are working with her to apply for lawful permanent resident status and I’m confident the experience will be another positive one. This is a real success story made possible by Harlan York and Associates and Maggie. We can’t thank the firm enough for making this possible. I recommend them without reservation.

The Absolutely Best!

The absolutely best lawyers in town when it comes to immigration. very professional and experienced I had the chance to talk to Mr York and I had no doubt I was in safe hands. He put Ms Maggie on my case and it was a smooth sail. Got immigration problems???Talk to them!

Excellent Experience with a very Professional Firm!

Harlan York and Associates were one of the best law firms I've worked with. Mr. York prepared my wife's immigration paperwork and was there for us every step of the way. Not only was I impressed by the professionalism of him and his staff but the thing I liked most was his response time. Anytime I ha...d a question and I emailed it to Mr York, I had an answer that same day if not within an hour or two of emailing. That for me went a long way in helping us through a process which was unfamiliar to us. I'd recommend Harlan York and Associates for anyone that needs help with immigration law in the North Jersey area.

Amazing lawyer!

Mr. Harlan York and his colleagues made everything extremely pleasant and smooth from start till finish. He was always available at any time to answer any of my questions and clear up any confusions we had. Can't thank him and everyone else at Harlan York and Associates enough for helping my husband ...and I out with my greencard petiton and making it such an easy process.
