Biography
I am a 1990 graduate of Kiev’s Institute of Foreign Languages, Ukraine, where I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Spanish languages. I received my Master’s Degree in Language Education from Rutgers University in 2000. I subsequently received my Juris Doctorate from Rutgers School of Law in 2004, where I was a member of the Newsletter Section of the school’s Bankruptcy Journal. Prior to joining the firm, I served as Law Clerk to The Honorable Howard H. Kestin, P.J.A.D.
I am admitted to the bars of the State of New Jersey, the United States District Court, District of New Jersey and the State of New York. My practice concentrates primarily in the area of labor and employment. I am also a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and its Labor and Employment Law Sections, and the American Bar Association.
I focuse on the representation and counseling of management with respect to all types of employment-related disputes in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies, including allegations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful discharge, and wage-and-hour cases. I have defended major pharmaceutical and insurance companies in class actions involving overtime claims and exemptions under FLSA and other discrimination claims.
In addition,I counsel clients on methods to avoid litigation and advises on day-to-day matters, such as employee handbook provisions, wage and hour requirements, separation agreements, reasonable accommodations, and hiring and termination.
My pro bono work has included political asylum cases in Immigration Court.
