I first met Brooke in September 2017, I was alone and scared as my significant other was arrested and incarcerated since June. It was my first Rodeo so to speak. Brooke took the time to sit with me and explain how things work go. Brooke fought for justice and was able to have the case dismissed.... Brooke became family she never stopped fighting for us. Brooke Barnett is far from a good lawyer by any standard.I reached out to her firm as my 12 year old was being bullied at school and threatened suicide and her school knew about the bullying and completely dropped the ball, I had to do something. I reached out to Barnett and her team and she sold me... this illusion that she went through something similar as a child when after a month she gave my case to another attorney I called and asked as to why she would give this case away but she began acting callous and unsusceptible.She still has not called me about my daughters case so I call firm only to find out the 3 attorneys Barnett gave my case of to an extern, who generally had no idea of the turmoil my child was going through so everytime we talked I got the run around. MONTH'S AND MONTHS LATER Iam reaching out to Barnett and her office and her externs and now at this point she send me a letter saying she dropped my daughters case after 3 years not answering my calls. Here I'am today realizing that I completely misconstrued the games lawyers play.Barnett wasn't going to fight for my daughter or her mental health as she was being bullied because she represents the bullies why would she falsely claim something so dear to her heart none the less she is a perpetrator.This is an illogical misrepresentation of what a lawyer should be doing, illogical even within the standards of a human being,and holds no relationship with her conscious . # KIDS DONT MATTER BUT MONEY DOES. SMH

My husband was arrested on May 28, 2013 by the Elizabeth Police Department for something he did not do. He was being accused of a crime that happened in Elizabeth, NJ back on October 31, 2011. At the time he was given a ridiculous ransom bail of $2 Million. Our youngest daughter was 2 years old at... the time. After dealing with an incompetent lawyer who told me my husband had no chance and was looking to do life I quickly looked for someone else to represent him. Money was an issue but Brooke was willing to take on the case. She does not chase after her money but does expect too get paid. Payment is due in full prior to trial and that was clearly stated. It took 2 years for the Union County Prosecutors office to finally give us a trial date. Trial began in April 2015 and after 3 weeks the Judge declared a mistrial due to additional information that the Prosecutor's office was aware of and only exposed in court. Brooke pushed to get the case back in court right away and after 2 weeks we were back with the new trial in the middle of May 2015. After 4 weeks of trial and 2 years in jail on June 4, 2015 my husband was found NOT GUILTY on all 26 counts against him. The Union County Prosecutor's Office wanted to close a case and were willing to just blame an innocent man. They were willing to distort the facts but Brooke was not going to let that happen. They tried to use Phone Records and DNA evidence. Phone records were pulled in 2013, 2 years after the incident, and they show a routine that our family had which the prosecutor's office tried to distort as some type of conspiracy theory. Due to the fact that they were pulled 2 years later they were not able to get GPS info on calls made which would have proved he was not in the area of the crime. DNA evidence came back with MULTIPLE contributor's but the prosecutor's office only wanted to focus on my husbands DNA. The other contributor's were not investigated. They also tried to say that I was uncooperative. I was only approached by the prosecutor's office for questioning at time of trial which at this point was 4 years after the alleged incident. I made it real clear that I was not willing to cooperate after what they had done to my family and my husband. Brooke became more than just an attorney she is FAMILY FOR LIFE! While on trial our youngest daughter graduated from daycare at Kean College on Friday, May 15, 2015. Brooke took the time out to come to the ceremony with a dozen roses and a teddy bear for our daughter after being in court all day with my husband. This meant so much to our family. Brooke took this case very personal and put 1000% into it. Within the 2 years there was not much she could do because she said from the beginning that this was a trial case. Once at trail she would work on this case 24/7. Plenty of emails, texts and phone calls were exchanged the closer we got to trial. From spending time at her office I was able to see the hard work that goes on behind closed doors when clients think that nothing is being done. Brooke is a great hard working dedicated attorney. Clients need to rest easy and know that she is fighting for there rights. In addition they also need to know that her time is money. No words can explain what our family thinks about Brooke and her team. THEY ARE THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS AND WILL FIGHT FOR WHATS RIGHT!
