Richard W Fogarty

Richard W. Fogarty practices in the areas of insurance defense and coverage, and civil litigation, representing insurance companies and their clients in tort-based liability matters and personal injury protection (PIP) disputes.  He regularly defends PIP matters in Forthright on the arbitration and appellate levels.  Rich also defends PIP carries in New Jersey Superior Court in civil lawsuits and Orders to Show Cause.  He frequently conducts investigations and provides opinions on insurance coverage and policy issues to his clients.  Rich has tried several cases to jury verdict and has argued successfully before the Appellate Division.  A portion of his practice is also dedicated to work before the New Jersey Supreme Court.

Prior to joining Chasan Leyner & Lamparello, PC, in 2007, Rich served as law clerk to Hon. Daniel P. Mecca, P.J.S.C., Civil Division, Bergen County Vicinage.  While attending Rutgers University School of Law (Newark), he served as legal counsel through the school’s Special Education Clinic, working to obtain an appropriate education for indigent students with disabilities.
