Major condemnation cases include negotiation of a $3,450,000 settlement without the need for an appraisal for a property being taken for the Prudential Arena in Newark, and a $5,000,000 decision from condemnation commissioners for land in Lyndhurst where the taking authority offered $420,000. The case was ultimately settled when Lyndhurst waived our client’s portion of back taxes ($2,000,000 owed), which resulted in our client receiving $867,000 plus an environmental indemnity agreement holding our client harmless for a $10,000,000 claim.

Kudos to Mr. Charles Blau !
Mr. Charles Blau was the first attorney on AVVO to respond to my question regarding property tax appeals. He was very knowledgeable and responded to each of my e-mails. Mr. Blau recommended a firm that handles these types of cases and quickly I hired them. Thank you Mr. Blau!!
