Farrah Irving

Farrah A. Irving is admitted to practice law in the State of New Jersey, United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, and United States Tax Court.  Ms. Irving earned her Bachelors of Arts in Sociology with a concentration in Social Services from William Paterson University, her Masters Degree in Social Work from Kean University and her Juris Doctorate from the University of the District of Columbia, David A. Clarke School of Law.

While a student at the David A. Clarke School of Law, Ms. Irving, was a recipient of the Joseph A. Rauh Scholarship for Clinical Excellence.  She served as an executive board member of the Black Law Students' Association, the Women's Law Society. and the Student Bar Association.  She also competed on the Law School's Oral Advocacy Team.

Ms. Irving had the honor of providing over 700 hours of free legal representation to the Washington, DC community through the her Law School's clinical program.  While working in the Low Income Tax Payer Clinic, Ms. Irving represented a client before the IRS and was able to have an outstanding debt of $40,000 compromised to $4,000.  Further, Ms. Irving completed extensive research in the areas of Reasonable Collection Potential and Defining An Employee as per IRS Rules.  Ms. Irving also had the opportunity to serve as a legal intern at the Maryland Office of the Public Defender, Prince Georges County Office where she represented clients in a number of different criminal matters.

Upon graduation from law school, Ms. Irving worked in the area of tax law.  She prepared complex personal and business tax returns, represented clients in formal and informal IRS audits, and prepared applications for Offers In Compromise for tax payers in arrears with the IRS.  Ms. Irving currently represents clients in complex civil litigation, superior court criminal matters, state and federal taxation matters, and municipal court matters.
