Mr. Fleisig sent me a cease & desist that resulted in me filing a grievance against him

I believe Mr. Fleisig sent me a cease-and-desist letter primarily to intimidate and silence me rather than to resolve any legitimate dispute. The statements made by counsel are materially false or misleading, unsupported by evidence, and appear designed to chill lawful speech and coerce compliance th...rough threat rather than good-faith advocacy. Despite my good-faith efforts to clarify the issues and resolve the matter directly, counsel did not respond to my email or telephone outreach. He framed contested factual issues as conclusively resolved, rather than acknowledging them as disputed, which is misleading in a pre-litigation demand letter. Counsel labeled disputed statements and opinions as“false, defamatory, and malicious" without identifying specific statements, evidence of falsity, or any legal analysis. The letter treats disagreement and criticism as defamation per se, which is an improper use of legal threats to suppress speech. The letter threatens“significant legal liability" and“enforcement to the fullest extent of the law”without any attempt to narrow issues, request clarification, or invite dialogue. The tone and structure of the letter suggest its purpose was to frighten and silence rather than resolve a dispute. The demands are overbroad, including a directive to“refrain from contacting third parties,”which would improperly restrict lawful communications. Such threats appear speculative and intended to intimidate rather than reflect a good-faith legal assessment. After issuing a threatening legal letter, counsel failed to respond to reasonable attempts to communicate by email and telephone. This reinforces the impression that the letter was not sent to resolve a dispute, but solely to silence and intimidate. Counsel used the authority and weight of the legal profession to attempt to suppress speech through fear of litigation rather than lawful process. The letter reads as an effort to leverage imbalance of power rather than pursue legitimate legal remedies. I filed a grievance complaint against Mr. Fleisig for his alleged abuse of his legal license with New Jersey. I would not advise hiring him, unless you're looking for a lawyer to send a cease and desist with no grounds.

Excellent legal skills. Dedicated professional.

Mr. Fleisig provided sound legal advice and followed through with negotiating a proper settlement. He made himself available, and went above and beyond to make sure I received an equitable result.
