Adoption of an adult child

My sister passed away in December leaving me with her 20 year old, college student to finish getting through life. My niece is young for her age. She lived a very sheltered life and had no insurance. I needed for her health insurance and car insurance to be taken care of. LaDonna was very understandi...ng of our unique situation and she walked us through every step. She made every effort to insure that we felt comfortable and secure in our decisions of how we wanted things to be worded. It was an extremely reassuring experience.

Highly Recommended

I recently retained LaDonna for my divorce case. It was a short term marriage, no kids and no joint property. however my earlier lawyer cost be around $10k with no progress over 6 months. I hired LaDonna to represent me in middle of March and knowing the delay on my case, she helped bring the cas...e to a conclusion by mid May (about 8 weeks). Even though no trial was involved and the divorce was reached amicably via a settlement, her attention to detail definitely is praiseworthy LaDonna is personable and intelligent and not averse to get into the details of the case be it the financials or any logistical details. She has an approachable empathetic demeanor as well The only one thing which I believe she can work on slightly, though I dont hold this against her, is the flow of communication with her, especially her staff. This can be at times difficult, understandably, when she has other court appointments. However, I feel there is some room in this area I feel she is going to be a very successful attorney and I strongly recommend her for divorce/ separation cases.

A Caring, Honest Attorney

LaDonna Cousins of the Weinberg Law Group represented me in my divorce and I am so glad she did! She was a consummate professional and one of the most ethical people I have ever met. My particular case was contentious and had dragged out for over two years. LaDonna stood right by me through the whol...e ordeal. A Smart, Creative Fighter

My divorce seemed to be dragging along without making the progress I desperately needed. I was working with a lawyer who meant well, but he didn’t have the take charge personality that was needed in my particular case. That’s where LaDonna stepped in. It was a stroke of luck when she stepped in at a ...court appearance when my lawyer was ill. She immediately dug deep, assessed what was happening and began negotiating with the other side and creating solutions. She HEARD me, prioritized MY goals and pushed the other side to comply with my timeline. She took over as my lawyer and made me feel like I was important and supported. Things moved faster once she took over, mainly because she doesn’t entertain BS. In the end, I was happy with my outcome (which is obviously relative when talking about divorce), and forever grateful for LaDonna’s skilled advice and smart actions.
