We had a somewhat unusual visa case. My wife and daughters visas had expired and needed renewal while they were living in France. Having been driven from pillar to post by our local Prefecture for almost 3 months in attempting to obtain a "Visa de long Séjour" for my American wife (she being married to a UK European citizen), I effected a Google search for a French Visa lawyer and found Haywood Wise! The Gods were definite...ly looking out for us on that day: I emailed Haywood from his site on a Friday evening and received a personal phone call from him the very next Saturday morning! ( VERY unusual in France): he set our minds at rest and took on our application. As a UK Citizen, born in France, but having spent the last 35 years in the US, the intricacies of our situation were several, but Haywood's presentation of our dossier and covering letter was a thing of beauty and efficiency, as sure enough the previously recalcitrant Prefecture's "Bureau des Etrangers" started to respond. After a second intervention by Haywood on our behalf (in which he elegantly pointed out certain salient aspects of pertinent French Law in relation to the residency rights of European citizens and their non-European family members ), we received a dossier number, followed a few days later by a "Récépissé": We our now awaiting our "Convocation" ( interview) for the actual Visa, which should be arriving in the next 3 weeks or so. Haywood took many of my phone calls during the process, and patiently explained the working of the system, suggested appropriate (and very effective and affordable) answers to specific problems we were having ( Health Insurance coverage for France and the Schengen area, Certified translators). His team was also very helpful and courteous at all times. I have referred Haywood to a friend in Canada in a similar situation, and Haywood was most helpful in his case also. Haywood 's fees were most reasonable, and doing business with him has been a pleasure: I feel that he "has my back" in this situation. Highly recommended in French-US Visa issues: I wish I had called on him earlier; it would have made my wife's and my situation a lot less stressful and easier!

I have started talking to Mr Haywood Wise about 4 years ago, when i intended immigrating for the first time. Since that time, my situation has changed more than once and he was always patiently advising me what do i need to do, and how do i need to do it. So, we would exchange ten or more letters, ...than i would abandon the plan for a year, than i would come back with another plan, we would exchange another ten letters and so on, for 4 years. At the end, i have made up my mind and we have proceeded to my application for Visa de Long Sejour which was successfully completed last week. I was nervous at all times since i found Mr Wise on the internet by simple search "Immigration to France" and was always afraid that not knowing my lawyer face to face would cause me problems down the line. But, it didn't turn out to be that way. I was surprised that every time during those years he would reply to questions, sometimes even sending e-mails at 11 at night, and the issue of fees never came up. He would respond every time, no matter how stupid mu question was, and he would advise and guide me. In couple of cases of extreme emergency i had, when i phoned him to do something for me urgently, he would offer everything he had at his disposal, which made my situation much easier. Once we started the procedure for visa, he prepared the file quickly and assisted me even while on vacation. I'm leaving for France in 2 days for a stay that i have dreamed for most of last ten years, and i must say that Mr Haywood Wise is a huge reason why this was done very smoothly.
