Alison Doviak-Borelli

Warning — Not Recommended! She tried to charge us a higher fee without our knowledge, and when we discovered it, she gave irrelevant excuses. She then refused to complete the work — including handling the full transfer of funds from the property sale — and was, to put it mildly, extremely unpleasant... throughout the process. We are in the process of filing a formal complaint against her with the New Jersey Bar Association.

I have hired Alison 3 times. I was first referred to Alison 6 years ago when I purchased my condo in Hoboken. I was so impressed with her knowledge, prompt response time and ability to identify potential issues for ME! She really protects you and explains things very clearly not to ever be confused w...ith any law jargon. When I sold my condo to buy the town house I am in now, I didn’t even think twice, I called Alison again! Funny enough, the couple purchasing my condo was ALSO referred to her because of her reputation of an amazing NJ real estate attorney. Most recently, I refinanced my home and leveraged her once again! Oh and I have to say, she knows everyone in the local industry so when I mentioned the mortgage folks I was working with, she knew them personally, further making it sooo smooth on the entire process! I have referred her to ALL my friends and they loved her too! Seriously, she is the BEST!!!!

Alison recently represented me in both a sale and a purchase. Both transactions included some contentious issues. Alison worked diligently to get through these, pursuing resolution and keeping me updated. I found her to be extremely responsive and helpful, providing advice and moral support throughou...t! I highly recommend her!

Alison helped me through not one but two separate transactions and from two different angles, buying and selling. Alison is great at bringing moments of sanity and clarity to what can be a very stressful process. I have worked with her multiple times on my own personal real estate transactions, and as a real estate agent I have recommended her to many of my clients for representation during their purchase/sale. ...She is incredibly organized throughout the process, and always has your best interests in mind. At the same time, she also helps set your expectations when negotiating on items that come up during attorney review and while under contract. I find that to be very helpful when trying to remain level headed and rational during such an important business transaction. She works very hard for her clients, and I never have a tough time getting a hold of her when I have a question.
