The useless and boor

For those who are interested, this man is a jerk and poorly educated. For nothing in the world do you invest money in this man? On December 19, I presented my case to him which he took and he only asked me about money. I paid him $500 to represent me in a response to the court. I called him and tex...ted him every day and he didn't answer anything, obviously, he already had the money in his hands . The useless and boor a called me on the last day, January 10, 24 at 8; 30 in the morning to tell me that he had to give him 250 more dollars to send a letter. I called the other party's attorney and found that this guy hadn't even let them know that he was representing me. After this, I complained to him and he became arrogant and threatened me. Avoid wasting money and time on this flake and invest it in someone more professional.

Stay Away, Find Another Lawyer

I hired Mr. Pentangelo for a criminal matter. He seemed to have a grasp of the law and the courts. The problem with him for me is that he doesn't do anything he is supposed to do in preparation. I would Not recommend him and in fact, I think it is hard to do worse. I interviewed quite a few attorney...s and frankly there were not many that I was impressed with. Mr. Pentangelo came in with a lower price but "you get what you pay for" in this instance was so true. I think he thinks he can do the job without preparation and when he loses he blames it on anything but him, and when he wins, he thinks it's because of his brilliance. I won my case despite that he could have blown it six ways from Sunday as the expression goes. I think he is incapable of bothering to be a decent attorney. The negative comments on these pages have the common theme that I agree with--no prep, ignores deadlines, and doesn't do the job. Notice no one appears to think he can't do the job, rather that he doesn't bother. If you have a strong case, you might win with him as your lawyer if he doesn't do too much to blow it. If your case is weak, God help you because as I see it, his work ethic is so poor that anything can go wrong. I think he could do the job if he bothered but think he is incapable for whatever reason. If you hire him, follow him every step of the way and make sure he is up to date and prepared. He's arrogant and defensive and at times will not even truly answer when you contact him giving only vague responses. If you hire him, I recommend you do not let down your guard for a moment. Keep an email record of anything you ask him, and all of his replies and tip him off to the fact that your emails are a record. Try to find a lawyer that is more responsible. You have enough to worry about when facing a judge, watching your attorney shouldn't have to be a top priority.

I do not recognize who "anonymous"is and why he or she will not reveal their identity I do not know. It appears this is a client whose case I won-apparently that is not good enough for him nor is the more reasonable price I quoted him compared to other lawyers he talked to. This person claims that HE won the case, although I could have blown it in half a dozen ways. Bottom line is here is a client whose case I (not he) won and who paid less money for legal representation then he might have. An unreasonable and disgruntled individual. Maybe he thinks that it was HIS brilliance that won the case.

Knowledgeable, Professional, and Honest

We had a ticket given to our son in a complicated road where the speed went from 50->35->25->35->50 within a short distance and obviously not fair. So if you are driving 50 MPH and it becomes 25 MPS, oops you are at fault now. Robert was very helpful in getting the police videos, analyzing them, ...and presenting us with the options that we had. He laid down three options of which we were to choose one. He did suggest an option and that is what we took in the end. But the important thing was that we felt involved in the decision and were consulted before the verdict was given to us. I had inquired with many attorneys and almost everyone told me that I had no option but to plead guilty and settle. Robert was the only attorney who said in his first response that we had a strong case and should not settle and plead guilty without a discovery. And I asked more than 10 lawyers. Go figure that out. Robert is honest, responds back to inquiries, and works for his clients best interest. I would rehire him for any future issues within a heartbeat. Thank you Robert. You were awesome and we appreciate all the help you gave us.

Dwi DEFENCE

The most rude unprofessional attorney !!! STEALS YOUR MONEY AND RUNS !!!! STAY FAR AWAY !!! After having given him $700 to retain services weeks and months passed with no updates answers or anything to show for the $700 given. Avoids your calls and tells you he will call back but never once did . ...When I finally got him on the phone , He demanded $500 more dollars , and said “pay me or find another attorney “ and hung up the phone! The most rude unprofessional attorney that strings you along to just get more money out of you. STEALS YOUR MONEY AND RUNS !!!! STAY FAR AWAY

The comments here by "Tony" are almost all as false as the alias he hides behind here. I have to be careful since I do not want to go beyond the waiver of the attorney client privilege done by Tony here. This goes back some time when my job was to review a case (not where I was the attorney) long closed where there was a plea deal that "Tony" was under a long suspension for. After reviewing the file including the transcript of the plea and finding out that the officers were still on staff with the police department the result was even if a motion was successful, Tony was facing retrial on all charges and additional fines and other penalties. Things were left there and fee earned. A change in the DUI law raised some very outside chance of a resentencing but a motion would have been necessary and some original argumentation by me since there were no precedents yet for the relief to be sought from the court. So $500 more was requested since I had fulfilled by original obligation. Since "Tony" started being obnoxious as he is here I made it simple: pay me or find another attorney and I hung up the phone. Now you know the rest of the story. Robert Pentangelo, Esq.
