My mission is to zealously advocate for students with disabilities, focusing on appropriate education in the least restrictive environment (LRE). I also vow to end discrimination against individuals with disabilities and individuals with the label of LGBTQ. Recently I have accepted Title IX cases on behalf of students who face gender discrimination.
Prior to running a law practice, I was a social worker, working to get adults with disabilities successfully situated in the community during the era of closing institutions. I was privileged to work closely with various ARC organizations.
My daughter with Down syndrome was fully and successfully included in the local schools. Yep, she even took Algebra!
Since I cannot help every family that reaches out to me, my best advice is pubished in my latest book, "Do Not Tweet at an IEP Meeting …and other tips and strategies to negotiate special education services." Check for more info or find it on Amazon.

"I whole heartedly endorse Annie Treimanis. She has complete technical knowledge of education law, both state and federal, an unmatched personal dedication to the protection of her client's educational rights, and an understanding and compassion for the student's family as a whole, and walks through the journey of the case together with them."
"Attoney Treimanis is an excellent attorney who has spent decades championing the rights of individuals with disabilites. She is a valued colleague and I am very familiar with her work. She is a diligent, knowledgeable and caring professional. Attorney Treimanis is also an author (IEP and Inclusion Tips) and a highly sought out presenter who speaks nationally and internationally on disability law. I highly endorse her as a special education and disability rights attorney!!"
