Prior to joining Jackson Landrith and Kulesz PC, she was a partner at Parlatore Law Group in their immigration department, and she previously co-founded The Law Firm of Jijon-Caamano and Young, LLC. Her passion for helping the local immigrant community also led her to volunteer for several years at Connecticut Legal Services as an Immigration Attorney and at the Stamford Day Laborer Clinic, where she represented clients and helped organize the volunteer attorney system.
In addition to providing legal and consulting services for private clients, Virginia was elected as a member of the Representative Town Meeting (RTM) of her hometown and served on the Public Health & Safety Committee for several years. She also continues to volunteer her time to provide pro bono representation to certain deserving clients needing immigration representation.
She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and is admitted to practice in Connecticut and New York.
She lives in Connecticut, with her husband and children.
Education:
Virginia earned her Juris Doctor magna cum laude from Quinnipiac University School of Law, where she received a John A. Speziale Award for Excellence in Written Advocacy, a Superior Classroom Performance in Clinical Work Award, and several Distinguished Academic Achievement Awards.
She graduated from Auburn University with a degree in computer science and worked as an AP and IB Computer Programming teacher at several international schools around the world, prior to becoming an attorney.
