Amazing assistance with former employer

I highly recommend Michelle Holmes. At a time when I felt my options were limited, she spent time to fully understand the complexity of the issue we addressed with my former employer. I have never been out of work or engaged a lawyer; the experience was new to me. She explained things plainly & prese...nted my options in clear language helping me to make good decisions. At points, I wanted to take actions that may not have proved beneficial. Michelle always listened to my viewpoint and guided me in the direction most prudent for my case. At the outset, I felt the likelihood of a satisfactory resolution was almost impossible due to the size of the corporation & the lack of desire to negotiate. By being so well-versed in the details, she was able to secure a settlement that was fair to me. I was not surprised by the end of our time together that the initial estimate Michelle provided to me as my settlement was precisely what we achieved together.

Michelle Holmes Changed My Life

Michelle worked tirelessly to win my case against a former employer. I was referred to her through family friends and upon meeting her for the first time, I immediately knew we had a connection and that she was the attorney for me and my case. She worked with me financially through a tough case and a... rough patch in my life while I was unemployed, and she was there for me whenever I needed her. We were up against one of the "best" employer defense firms in the state and Michelle stuck to our strategy - no matter how long it took or how many times they gave us the run around. She is realistic in setting expectations and was 100% transparent through the entire process - working WITH me while working for me. One thing I can say for certain is that she takes no prisoners when it comes to her clients and her persistence and rigorous follow through never ceased to amaze me. The outcome of that case couldn't have been better and she changed my life with her results - no thanks to her patience and belief in me. Shortly after my first case, I hired her to represent me in a civil case and again, I couldn't have asked for better results. I can't imagine what I would have done or what my life would be like had I not had her as my attorney. Excellent !

Hired for a civil suit against the city of Waterbury and a personal injury lawsuit. Had an amazing experience. She was very professional and attentive always returned my calls and a pleasure to work with . She won both cases for me, very pleased! Highly recommended.

Non active in case for a $5,000 retainer.

This lawyer met with me in February, 2015, and promised to defend me against an employer. I signed a contract and paid her $5,000.00 as a retainer for her services. She cancelled meetings, did not show up for meetings her legal assistant booked, and then tried to pawn me off on her legal assistant.... When I asked for an update on my case and a plan to win it, she accused me of being uncooperative and wasted three months of my time. I am waiting for my retainer and all the written information I handed her to win the case, as I was a legal assistant prior to being a teacher, and am also a notary public since the 1980's. Whatever you do, don't hire this one! She does nothing and has a huge back log of cases she obviously cannot handle.
