AMAZING attorney

I retained Jackie for my divorce last year. It was an extremely difficult and stressful time for me emotionall and financially, and I could not have chosen a more amazing person to be on my side. Not only does she know the law inside out due to years of experience, she’s also an extremely compassion...ate human being. She held my hand through the entire ordeal, wiped my tears, but also got me to pull myself together when it was time. She returned every single one of my phone calls and emails within the hour (usually within 10 minutes, including on weekends). Her advice was always spot on. She never missed a beat. She’s extremely well known and highly respected in the Milford courthouse, where all our proceedings took place. After years of being bullied, I was finally able to achieve a fair outcome, and I was able to retain the things most important to me. My circumstances are different than most, and due to having 3 children, one of which is extremely medically complex requiring 24/7 care, I had to leave a successful career in order to make sure I can raise my special needs son at home alongside his siblings. My parents actually paid for her services for me, and although the services she provided exceeded the retainer paid, she actually waived the remainder of her fees, knowing how difficult things were for me financially. I wax moved to tears by her kindness and generosity. She’s an absolutely amazing woman, and if you ever find yourself in the unexpected place of needing a divorce attorney, i highly recommend her. She’s worth every penny.

Divorce...

Finding myself in need of a divorce attorney was obviously something I had never anticipated. We all have friends and/or parents that have gone through a divorce, but until you unfortunately have to go through one yourself, you have no idea what to expect. There are so many questions, emotions, an...d fears that arise and although friends and family do their best to give advice, you need an attorney who is going to walk you through every step of the process with your best interests at heart. I had interviews with several New Haven county divorce attorneys, and I can honestly say not one single one of them immediately put me at ease the way Jackie did. I had absolutely no hesitation to have her by my side through this process. Attorney Jackie Barbara went above and beyond anything I expected. Every single question I had was answered immediately, not only answered but explained to me in a way I would understand. Ultimately every decision I made along the way was mine, but I was advised by Jackie on how the law works and what the outcomes may be regarding which decisions I would make. Jackie knows the law. She knows the courtroom from years of experience. She knows how to make one feel at ease while at the same time holding her ground and fighting for you and what is right. Jackie’s legal ethics are impeccable and without question. She is professional, articulate, honest, trustworthy and reliable. I highly recommend Jackie Barbara to anyone being faced with having to go through a divorce. There are plenty of attorneys who will go through the motions…but very few who will treat you with such respect and dignity, and truly fight for you and stand by your side the way Jackie does.

Exemplary attorney

I have used Jacqueline F. Barbara as my divorce attorney since retaining her at the end of 2006. Due to unfortunate circumstances with ex-husband (defendant), and his willingness to ignore court orders for nine years, Jackie Barbara has represented me brilliantly and taken the stress right out of ...my hands in having to deal with the myriad of issues that have arisen since then. Her fees are highly competitive and well worth her expertise, and my piece of mind. Am presuming that ever divorce/separation matter is different, would classify mine as leaning towards one of the most difficult. Through that, she has prevailed for me consistently. I highly recommend her, she listens extremely well, knows all of the laws and puts her client first, always.

Best Ever! 11 years together

I'm not the best with words unless it's clinical scientific writing . I've been working with Jackie over the past eleven years beginning with my 2005 divorce.
