Brian Lawrence McCann

Brian McCann represents businesses and individuals in land use, zoning, inland wetlands, municipal, tax appeal, eminent domain, and real estate matters. He appears before municipal boards, handles administrative appeals, and guides owners and developers through planning and permitting. Brian has extensive experience with commercial, residential, and personal property tax appeals involving hotels, special-use properties, health care facilities, and complex assets. Before joining Zabel Schellenberg, Brian practiced at Pullman & Comley, LLC and served as Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Norwalk, where he advised land use boards, defended municipal decisions, drafted ordinances, enforced code violations, and handled appeals, eminent domain matters, agreements, easements, and deed restrictions. Brian previously worked as an environmental consultant, conservation compliance officer, and zoning inspector, giving him an understanding of regulatory and approval processes.
