It is your burden to prove discrimination. It is not their burden to disprove it. I don't know all the specifics, and you won't make a sympathetic...
The issue is the reason for the late disclosure. Counsel may not have known at the time he/she intended to call those witnesses.
First thing I would do is ask DMV. They are the ones who will be processing the documents.
You certainly can consult an attorney for advice, but likely not worth your money for representation. Find someone licensed in Ct.
Unless you have a contract, or the loss of hours was discriminatory, I see nothing illegal.
Can you file? Yes. But you were terminated for violating a company rule. If they oppose, I think you would lose, based on your post.
I don't see damages warranting a suit. Not every situation needs to end up in court.
Defamation is a tough case. What proof do you have that he said objectively untrue things, which cost you a job?
I would send an email or letter (cert. Mail), including their prior statement. If no satisfactory response in a week, consult an attorney.
