Wow, horrible human being!

I would be very careful on hiring this firm. He was rude and a jerk over the phone. Not worth it!

Why does Avvo post “reviews” from non-clients when their identity is unclear? Do they come from real people? Or bots? Or from competitors to run down one’s business. I have no idea who this “person” is, if it is a person. "Lyle who" and when did this conversation take place? I talk to hundreds of people every year, and give free initial consultations, and lots of advice. I have learned from decades of legal practice to go into Zen Buddhist mode, and listen patiently before offering any advice. Sometimes people don’t like the advice, but I am a straight shooter, and if I don’t think they have a case, I will tell them. I don’t want them to waste their money, or have any attorney, including me, charge a legal fee if there will not be a positive result. I have complained to Avvo before that posting anonymous “reviews” is not a public service. There is a very simple solution: have “reviewers” fully identify themselves, so that the attorney can respond meaningfully, and not be left wondering if one if dealing with a bot, an unscrupulous competitor, or someone who is not telling the whole truth.

not really a good lawyer

eric dean promises the world, like everyone else does, but when i comes down to more than what to fill out on the form, he bails and helps you find alternative options, by yourself, because he can really do nothing more than help your brainstorm options.. Once in awhile a visa needs more than options..., and that is professional help, and Eric is totally incapable of handling this..

This client's (let's call him "Frank") fiancee tested positive for use of illegal drugs. Rather than deny the visa, the consulate put her into a protocol where she had to test every month for a year, and then she might qualify for a visa. So, the consulate basically did her a favor. However, the medical authorities responsible for the testing were not as responsive as Frank wanted when he felt that his fiancee had successfully completed the testing protocol. Repeated calls did not seem to move the needle--basically, the medical testing people held all the cards and it was up to them to declare compliance and put the case on track for a visa, and they were taking their time. This is not a "legal matter" where an attorney can sue someone; it's a matter of bureaucrats finally issuing a favorable report. I suggested (many times) that Frank contact his Senator--because US Senators have special influence in cases of this nature. Frank has an explosive temper. He would call me every 6 months or so, and yell and scream at me, demanding that I get the medical authorities to act, when any number of calls and inquiries failed to get their attention. It looks like the Senator's intervention will finally result in issuance of a visa. That is what I had suggested for the longest time.

My review

Eric states in his autobigraphy that he's avaivable any time of the day even on the weekends, yeah right!!!!!!!! What he doesn't tell you is he never answers his phone no matter what time you call him, and he works very slow, and he's also very rude, at least to me he is. I wouldn't recommend him to ...anyone at all

Since this "review" is anonymous , I do not know who this person is, or if, indeed, they are really a present or past client, or a competitor, submitting negative comments to damage my business. Anyway, I work 7 days a week, and respond to phone voicemails, either with a call or email, if i am busy when the call comes in. I am never rude to clients. If this person would like to identify themselves, then I can respond on a more individualized basis.
