Florian W.M. Kreuk

Florian Kreuk is a litigation attorney and technology leader at Carter Mario Injury Lawyers, where his work spans both the representation of injured clients and the systems the firm uses to serve them.

As an attorney, Florian represents individuals injured through the negligence of others. His approach to litigation is grounded in careful investigation, a willingness to question assumptions, and a focus on understanding the facts that can materially change the value or outcome of a case. He has handled matters involving motor vehicle collisions, premises liability, insurance disputes, and other serious personal injury claims in Connecticut.

Florian also serves as Carter Mario’s Chief Technology Officer, leading the firm’s strategy across technology, data, automation, artificial intelligence, and legal operations. His work has included redesigning how the firm captures and uses case information, developing systems to improve client communication and attorney decision-making, building forecasting and performance tools, and overseeing large-scale technology implementations across the organization.

His interest in using technology to improve legal services grew directly out of his work as a practicing attorney. Seeing how the quality and accessibility of information affected decisions for both lawyers and clients, Florian began developing systems to make that information more useful, consistent, and actionable. Today, he works across legal, operational, and technical teams to identify where better processes, data, or technology can improve the client experience and the performance of the firm.

Florian is also active in the broader legal-technology community. He has advised legal technology companies on product development and implementation and has spoken to attorneys and law-firm leaders about data strategy, automation, artificial intelligence, forecasting, and the responsible adoption of emerging technology in legal practice.

Before entering law, Florian studied biology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he received a Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation student research fellowship. He later worked in biomedical research in areas including gastroenterology, neurology, endocrinology, and pharmacology and contributed to published scientific research.

Florian earned his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law while working full time. At St. John’s, he was a four-time recipient of the merit-based Alumni Scholarships and achieved Dean’s Awards for Excellence in Pre-Trial Advocacy and E-Discovery.

He is admitted to practice in Connecticut and New York. Outside the office, Florian enjoys singing and playing piano, skiing, rowing, swimming, and spending time with his wife and children.
