Employment and Labor 90%

I represent employees in virtually all areas of employment law except for workers compensation. Most of my employment law practice is wage theft, that is, non-payment of minimum wages, overtime wages, bonuses or other types of wage disputes with employers.

Do not

Do not retain this attorney under any circumstance. His performance is unprofessional and lacks diligence. He consistently demonstrates a lack of commitment to his clients, fails to actively listen or advocate effectively, and prioritizes quick, low-value settlements over achieving fair and justified... outcomes—even when presented with substantial evidence. His approach reflects minimal effort and poor client representation. This attorney does not fight for his clients’ best interests and should be avoided by anyone seeking competent, ethical legal counsel.

One of the cardinal rules of lawyering, and one I can say I have always observed, is that the decision to settle a case belongs to the client and no one but the client. Lawyers cannot (without breaking that rule) make someone accept a settlement that they do not want. I always emphasize to my clients that no matter what they think of the advice or recommendations I make, they can always accept or reject any settlement offer that is before them.

Outstanding, knowledgable and did a great job.

I engaged Peter for an employment matter. He handled it well, with complete professionalism, and achieved what I believe to be an excellent result. I would recommend him.

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter

"Attorney Goselin and I have been opposing counsel in at least one employment dispute. While we will likely continue to view our client matters very differently, I have always found him to be respectful and knowledgeable. Perhaps the most telling endorsement I can offer is to state that if ever there were to exist a matter in which my firm found itself in conflict, I would have no hesitancy in recommending Attorney Goselin. Respectfully submitted. Rob Fortgang, 8/1/08"

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
