Four separate associates of this guy flailing around in my case for over 2 years...one disappeared with only an auto reply voicemail... My lawyer Damon Kirschbaum is the best lawyer I ever had...I was convicted in 1999 of murder,conspiracy to commit murder and two counts of first degree assault and was sentenced to 100 years in prison..I lost my direct appeal and eventually filed a habeas corpus and Damon was my appointed attorney..H...e came to visit me in Macdougall C.I and introduce himself as my attorney and we proceeded to discuss my case and possible issues.The main thing that I always respected about Damon was that he was always honest with me about my case meaning he always let me know that we have a uphill battle and people almost never win at the habeas level but that he will fight hard and do his best to win.He always kept in contact with me and kept me informed on what he was doing and what his strategy would be.When he found out that the prosecution withheld evidence and knowingly let his witness lie on the stand he was more happy than me and that just shows how much he cared about me and the fact that there was a great possibility of getting my conviction overturned..Once the decision came down from the habeas court to deny my habeas he was very upset and couldn't believe the court made the decision that it made and I was feeling down and he told me not to worry and that he wanted to handle my appeal and see this case to the end.Needless to say he did a excellent job on my appeal at the appellate level and won then the state appealed that decision to the CT Supreme Court and Damon won again and eventually got all charges dismissed..I spent 16 1/2 years in prison for a crim I didn't commit and had nothing to do with and Damon believe me and my story from day one and fought for me and my freedom..I've actually never met a lawyer like him before that cared so much about doing the right thing and fighting hard for injustice...This is my story and I've been home for almost 4 years actually July 25th will be my 4 year anniversary since being released from prison and getting my life back thanks to Damon Kirschbaum fighting hard and relentless for me...
