The court entered a verdict reinstating the physician's privileges to perform surgeries at the hospital and awarded over $200,000 in damages for lost income.
The court discharged the fraudulent mortgages and awarded attorney's fees of approximately $75,000 for prosecuting the claim and defending the attempt to foreclose the bogus mortgages. The decsion was upheld on appeal to the Appellate Court.
The jury awarded a verdict of $4 million plus punative damages and attorney's fees under CUTPA
The Supreme Court unanimously reveresed the trial Court decision to apply Reverse Veil Piercing to my client. It is a pivotal decision on that doctrine.
