WE DEFEND DOGS IN DOG BITE, DISPOSAL/KILL ORDER AND DANGEROUS DOG PROCEEDINGS; WE LITIGATE PET CUSTODY AND OWNERSHIP DISPUTES TO RETURN ANIMALS TO THEIR OWNERS; WE DRAFT PET TRUSTS FOR WHEN OWNERS CAN NO LONGER CARE FOR THEIR PETS; WE TAKE ON SELECT VETERINARY MALPRACTICE AND HARM-TO-ANIMAL CLAIMS.

WE ARE NOT PERSONAL INJURY "DOG BITE" PLAINTIFF LAWYERS.

Most people consider their pets as more than just possessions, but rather as family members and best friends. When situations arise where they might lose them, it is unbearable. Most people never think about needing a lawyer to save their pet, and when they start searching, they find few attorneys or organizations with any real experience in animal law. This is because very few lawyers devote their lives to saving animals, and few focus their profession on animals and the rights of their owners.

Our work has involved pet owners facing eviction because of their dog or cat, bite incidents where dogs are seized and ordered to be killed, custody and ownership disputes of beloved pets, and criminal charges involving dogs and feeding stray animals. We also represent animal rescues, fosters and adopters. We provide litigation strategies, techniques and guidance on animal litigation matters to attorneys throughout the country in state and federal courts.

A lot of our work involves defending dogs involved in bite incidents who are unjustly facing death. They and their owners are pre-judged by a system which ignores their rights. We are proud our animal rights litigation work is at the forefront of shaping the direction of companion animal law. In zealously representing the interests of companion animals, we are advancing the rights of all can learn more about our work at The Center for Animal Litigation on our website @.

We welcome inquiries should you have an issue with a companion animal which we may be able to provide assistance. The Center also provides a low cost consultation service to review documents and facts surrounding your animal situation and to speak with an attorney concerning your options.

Kind and knowledgeable for pet-custody case
Thom helped me with a custody dispute between me and a former partner over our dog. He was incredible and I will be forever grateful for his assistance. He understood how important my dog was to me and was very knowledgeable about the relevant law for our area. Without Thom, I don't think I would have my beloved girl today, and that is an incredible gift. Thank you!

Best dog lawyer in Connecticut
A man with a lose dog that ran up to my dog and me was suing me. I contacted Attorney Page and became a client of his because this man who was suing me is psychiatrically unstable and an alcoholic and I was afraid of the man. Attorney Page went out of his way for me. The Sunday of July 4th weekend he came to my neighborhood and got sworn statements from neighbors about the dog being loose. He explained the law as it pertained to my case and spent 3 hours the evening before court explaining court. I am 64 and have never been to court before so I was very frightened both of court and the man suing me. Attorney Page met me at court the next day and represented me. For what he did for me on one weeks notice I will always be grateful. He was wonderful and patient with me. I will engage his services again if I ever need a lawyer.

Happy to recommend this attorney.
I found Mr. Page to be very thorough and systematic in representing me, as well as informing me along the way of what to expect. He helped me with a divorce, and child custody, and had a lot of patience in bringing my case before the court. I felt relaxed, well represented, and found Atty. Page to be a trustworthy person.

Brought my pup home!
I hired Attorney Page when my ex boyfriend stole my dog away from me and I had to attend court to get her back. He was very thorough and paid attention to details throughout out my case. He kept me updated through the entire process and sent me copies of all documents along the way. I also appreciated that Attorney Page would have multiple back ups plans depending on how the defendant would respond to certain actions. Attorney Page is extremely passionate about the dogs and pets he saves and it shows. Overall, I was very satisfied with how my case turned out. Attorney Page brought my pup home where she belongs!

A condition is a disciplinary order from the Statewide Grievance Committee that an attorney fulfill a condition within a certain time frame. If the attorney does not fulfill a condition in a timely manner, the Superior Court may also impose any condition necessary to protect the public.

Thompson's comment: “Attorney Page, as principal of his firm, failed to timely file a lien for a judgment the firm successfully achieved on behalf of a client, and attended a 3 hour class in law office management to satisfy the citation conditions.”

"I know Thom from serving with him on a charitable board. Thom is intelligent, articulate and passionate. These traits are common to successful trial attorneys. Thom has empathy for the homeless and needy. His concerns and kindness have lead him to many actions to advance and protect the interests of our less fortunate neighbors. I would expect him to show the same care for his clients."
