Amazing attorney, solved two cases, one a federal law suit

My business and my reputation were slandered by a person and their company who sent out letters to their customers, some of which were also my customers over nothing more than showing up at their public event and speaking to vendors. We won a nice settlement after offering them to not sue if they sen...t a retraction letter. They unwisely declined and we won without ever having to go to court. The other case was a federal lawsuit over a franchise agreement. After several months and thousands of dollars into the lawsuit, I contacted attorney Brewer for some advice and within a few weeks, the case was settled. We save thousands and we should have hired him initially. In my opinion, you will not find a savvier, harder worker that will fight for you and what's right for you.

Very fortunate!

Myself and my family are very fortunate for choosing attorney Jim Brewer. Jim is representing me in an unlawful termination. This situation has had a devastating effect on myself as a person and my family as a whole. Jim has methodically worked my case. He has helped me get through some very low t...imes. The end is near and I am very confident in a positive outcome

Relationship: Friend

"I endorse this lawyer. I listed him as a friend, which he is; however, I have also worked with him, and have referred clients to him as well. As a trial lawyer myself, I know that Atty. Brewer is one of the finest trial lawyers I have ever seen; and in 25 years of practice I have seen several. I am familiar with the discipline that he underwent in the past, and truly believe that it could have and should have been dealt with less severely, but I wasn't the person making that decision. Atty. Brewer was, and is, one of the VERY few attorneys with the courage to go after police chiefs, police departments, politicians and "power brokers" to prosecute civil rights violations against his clients. Those actions often ruffle the wrong people's feathers. If my civil rights were violated, I would hire Atty. Brewer to represent me!"

Professional misconduct

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2005.

Disbarred issued in CT, 2005

updated on 11/19/2015

This is the most serious penalty for a lawyer. If this attorney is currently practicing law, you should contact the the Statewide Grievance Committee to understand the reasons for this disbarment.

James’s comment:

“Incorrect information: Politically sanctioned and suspended for being assertive on behalf of numerous civil rights clients against government officials. Reinstated without restrictions in both State and Federal Courts.”

Suspension issued in CT, 2004

updated on 06/01/2015

This means the attorney lost his or her license to practice law for a period of time. The attorney typically returns to practicing law when the suspension expires.

James’s comment:

“Redundant, the suspension was for the same discipline above.”

Reprimand issued in CT, 2004

updated on 06/01/2015

A reprimand is an order from the Statewide Grievance Committee after it has found that an attorney has engaged in ethical misconduct. If an attorney receives more than 3 reprimands in 5 years, a presentment must be filed against the attorney so the Superior Court can decide if more serious discipline should be ordered.

James’s comment:

“A chiropractor that claimed she was not paid.”
