A great support
I was going into a very difficult divorce and was very unsure about how to move forward. Brandon was very supportive and down to earth. He listened and understood my concerns and made recommendations for what he thought would be the best process. But he always stressed that it was my decision, which I really appreciated. I would highly recommend him.

Highly recommend
From the first contact with Brandon, I realized he was the right attorney to help me through a painful divorce. He was reassuring and clearly experienced in handling cases such as mine, which kept me from feeling helpless. When I would get anxious, wanting things to move along faster, he or the attorney who works closely with him would get in touch with me and patiently go over the process and timeline (again). I never felt alone or forgotten, knowing they were just an email or phone call away. I would recommend Brandon to anyone who needs an excellent attorney with insight and compassion.

Highly Effective
There are a multitude of reasons why I would recommend Attorney Brandon Fontaine for any family matter (or any other legal issue) you might have and I am pleased to share a few of these reasons below. For my visitation/possible guardianship matter, I wanted an attorney who treated my case as more than a docket number; someone who would be fiercely effective but also highly ethical. I found all of these qualities and more in Attorney Fontaine. Brandon quickly became my trusted confidant, fiercest advocate and the voice of reason when I needed reassurance. He was strategic in his approach, confident in his delivery and effortlessly showed compassion to how all aspects of the case affected everyone involved. He is proof that an attorney doesn’t have to be the loudest and most brash person in the room to be effective. What you will get out of Brandon representing you extends way beyond the normal attorney/client transactional relationship. He genuinely cares about reaching the most favorable outcome for his clients. Brandon has all the qualities that one looks for in an excellent attorney on top of being a calm, humble and extraordinary human being. I will forever be grateful for his representation and empathy and I would hire him again for any legal issues that I might encounter.

Effective and Authentic. Truly in a class of his own.
Let me preface this review by first saying, before meeting Brandon, I hated divorce attorneys. I really wanted to avoid getting a lawyer as much as I possibly could. I viewed them as grimey snakes ready to capitalize on the pain of families being torn apart and after interviewing several of them, it was confirmed that my preconceived notions of them, were indeed true. Snakes. UNTIL, I met Brandon. When going through a custody battle/divorce, at least for me, I felt at my worst... vulnerable, uncertain about the future, in my case there was serious safety issues regarding my children and when choosing my attorney I knew their lives could be at stake if it didn't go how I needed it to. I really wanted and prayed to find someone who authentically cared that real life children were at stake here- not just names on a piece of paper. Brandon had a gentleness and a patience about him that made me feel comfortable enough to share with him all the ugly, scary, humiliating, embarrassing, details of what we were going through. He also spent an extensive amount of time in the days leading up to our court date making sure I was prepared and knew what to expect. Although, he was gentle and patient with me before out court date- in the court room he had another side of him- when it came time to protect his client and make sure I was heard. He was sharp and tough without being disrespectful or condescending to our opposer. I truly felt protected, heard, seen. Best of all- we won the case and I immediately got sole legal custody of my children. One of the things though that stuck with me the most about him is, when we were leaving the courtroom after winning, he made a comment about how it should be a celebratory moment, but there was a sadness to it because of my ex husbands addiction issues... and when he said that, I just thought he was a really authentic, human being with a truly good heart. On one hand "yes we won!! my kids are finally safe!" and on the other.. you see the truth about what drugs do to people and families and you can't help but have a little pang in your heart about the whole thing. He truly is an authentic human being ( not a snake, haha) So, to recap why you should hire him immediately: Incredibly smart, detail oriented, gentle, and incredibly patient, but also thorough, tough, and incredibly sharp in the court room. I can't recommend him enough and will forever remember him and be grateful for what he did for me and my family. The only thing I would have done differently, was hire him from day one when I knew I was getting a divorce.

Prenup Agreement
I hired Brandon to prepare a prenuptial agreement for me earlier this year prior to my wedding. He took what could have been an awkward experience for me and my fiancee, and instead made it a really comfortable and easy process. He emphasized to me that it was just our chance to plan our marriage and create our own rules rather than be bound by CT laws. He was really detail-oriented in his contract wording, considering all the scenarios that could come up over a short or long marriage, and thoroughly explained the legal reasoning behind everything. I'd highly recommend Brandon for any family law or contract needs.

Appellate Practice
Attorney Fontaine is a patient, incredibly studied, kind and smart man. He provided invaluable help in my analysis of whether or not a certain Appellate Supreme Court matter was worth the time and expense, and what some of the key factual factors in the case are; what some of the unknown areas are. He is caring, articulate, and has the natural motive to be helpful and practical. Excellent responsiveness and communication. A+

Excellent
Brandon Fontaine worked with me on a slip and fall accident that caused me almost two years of recovery and medical expenses. He was an excellent communicator, honest and relatable. Brandon saw that I was taken care of and he didn't stop working until I was fairly compensated. I highly reccomend Brandon Fontaine to anyone seeking legal help.
