Thomas Babson Kane

I am a Real Estate Attorney in Glastonbury, CT.   I also handle Estate Planning and Juvenile Neglect and Delinquency issues. I am an approved attorney for most major local and national lending institutions and mortgage brokers. I represent both parents and children in Neglect proceedings, Transfers of Guardianship and Termination of Parental Rights and am certified by the State of Connecticut as a Child Welfare Law Specialist.  I joined the firm in 1996, and became a partner in 2001.

I am a member of and Vice President of the Glastonbury Rotary Club, a member of the Town of Colchester Board of Finance, a member of the Colchester Democratic Town Committee and a former member of the Glastonbury Jaycees. I was previously the Vice Chairman of the Colchester Planning and Zoning Committee.  I am a member of the Connecticut, Hartford County and Glastonbury Bar Associations. I am currently on the Board of Directors for CATIC Financial, Inc. as the Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee and previously served on the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Attorney's Title Insurance Company as a Director and as the Chairman of the Strategic Planning Committee for that company and as a Trustee and Assistant Treasurer of the Babson Historical Society.  I am also a member of the National Association of Counsel for Children.

I graduated from St. Michael's College (B.A., 1991) in Colchester, Vermont and Western New England College School of Law (J.D., 1995) in Springfield, Massachusetts, and am admitted to practice in Connecticut and in the U.S. District Court for Connecticut . I reside in Colchester with my wife and two daughters.
