Biography
I am primarily a business lawyer with entrepreneurial experience. I have owned several businesses, started a commercial mortgage company, produced a feature film while in law school, and am currently the managing partner of my law firm that I founded in 1977.
I understand what bussiness owners want-- trusted good advise and legal services delivered at affordable prices in timely fashion. Many deals are lost if not acted on in a timely manner. I understand that and I am always prepared. I believe in working hard (including Saturdays and Sundays) to make sure that I am current in all of my files so that I can give that new client or new matter the immediate attention that it deserves.
I also know that it takes more than the understanding of business law to service business owners. One needs to understand, real etstate law, Uniform Commercial Code, finances, taxes, estate planning, and employment law to provide a complete holistic approach to solving one's probelms. Recently I have helped 4 different applicants to apply for a Medicinal Marijuana Dispensary License in CT
Most business owners do not want litigation since litigation is very expensive and uncertain . I try to make sure all possibles scenarios and associated risks in a transaction are known by my clients so that they can make informed decisions and avoid litigation. And when litigation is necessary, I am in a position to make sure that the right attorney within my firm can litigate on their behalf.
