David A. Post

David Post is Connecticut born and raised. He spent his early childhood on the Connecticut shore in Westbrook, Clinton, and Madison before moving to Ellington, Connecticut where he graduated from Ellington High School. Throughout this time, the two constants in his life were family, and sports, which allowed him to succeed both academically and athletically while in high school, and taught him the life lessons that continue to guide him today as a husband, father, attorney, and business owner.  

Following high school, David went on to Colby College in Waterville, Maine, but he quickly returned to his home state and attended and graduated from the University of Connecticut.  He remains a diehard UConn basketball fan to this day.  David went on to attend law school at Western New England University School of Law, where he graduated near the top of his class and served as an assistant edior on the Western New England Law Review.  

He thereafter spent the first 13 years of his legal career working for and eventually joining the partnership at one of Connecticut's premiere litigation defense firms, where his practice focused on insurance, general liability, and medical malpractice defense cases; and allowed him to work on and be part of some of the most complex and high value cases of the past decade.  He also honed his trial and advocacy skills; developed his arbitraion, mediation, and negotiating style; and experienced the difficult, complex, and challenging cases that continue to inform and guide his practice today.  

David opened Post Law, LLC in 2016. He now focuses on helping families move past conflict and toward a healthier future.  

Today, Post Law is dedicated to helping families navigate divorce and other family law cases in such a way that sets them up for success.  While these cases often involve some of the toughest and conflicted times in a person's life, David and Post Law strive to help their clients overcome these difficulties and see their case as an opportunity to focus on a healthier future, whether financially, personally, or in their relationships with others (including their children and/or ex-spouses).  Toward that end, Post Law works to identify each client's specific problem(s) and determine the best course forward.  In doing so, Post Law provides a detailed analysis of each case and a strategy tailored to achieve the best results for each family's unique circumstances.  This includes analysis of whether negotiation, collaboration, mediation, or litigation will achieve those results and working with a network of other like-minded professionals to help each client achieve that healthier future.
