I hired Dennis Shillen to represent me in a slip and fall case in January, 2022. I can’t express enough how pleased I am with his services! I had a slip and fall which resulted in injury and he walked me through every step of the process with professionalism and empathy. He was attentive, always retu...rned my calls, explained the legal process to me in detail and was with me every step of the way. He is kind, compassionate and has a superb knowledge of the law! Words can truly not express how amazing and wonderful Shillen Mackall & Seldon Law Firm is and has been for a year and a half! I had a terrible accident two years ago and I was recommended to call this attorney that represented me. The lawyer that was recommended to me was too busy most of the tim...e to talk to me. I mostly dealt with the paralegal who was not a compassionate person at all and caused me more stress than I already had in my life. They did not believe in me or my case. After six months of representing me I got a letter in the mail saying that they were dismissing me and would not represent me anymore! I was so upset but now looking back I realize it was a blessing! I called over 10 attorneys in the Vermont area. Each phone call I had to relieve my accident over and over again. Dennis Shillen was one of the attorneys that I spoke with and out of all the attorneys that I dealt with he was the most compassionate, kind and professional attorney. My husband and I drove up to Vermont to meet the attorneys in person and as soon as I walked in to Dennis‘s office I knew that this was the attorney that God sent to me. My husband and I spoke with Dennis for over an hour and a half and he was so patient and knowledgeable even though we were late for our appointment and it was a Friday night. Without hesitation I signed immediately with him and that was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made in my life!!!! Just when I thought I couldn’t be any more blessed from having somebody like Dennis representing me I spoke to his paralegal/office manager Kim of 28 years!!! Lisa was one of his office staff that I dealt with a lot. What is sweet caring person she is. But quite honestly every single person that I spoke with was always kind, compassionate, and made me feel that I knew them forever. Dennis and Kim would just call or email to see how I was feeling and how I was doing every couple of weeks. After every procedure or surgery that I had I knew that I will be getting a phone call from them to see if I was OK. I actually formed a very nice relationship with Kim the paralegal/office manager! Having a child with special needs is challenging enough and then to add my pain every day on top of it is sometimes too much to bear. I can honestly say that they Genuinely care about people And you are not just a number to them!!! They held my hand every step of the way and not once did I have a bad conversation with them and I called them a lot LOL. Never once did I have a negative email they were always so willing to answer any questions that I had and answer any emails that I had even on a weekend! This amazing, wonderful law firm believed in me 110% and was able to get me a very fair settlement! I am actually driving six hours in a few weeks so I could meet some of the office staff that I did not meet when I first signed on with them. Especially I am so looking forward to meeting Kim his paralegal/office manager because she has gotten me through a very difficult time of my life and I need to thank them in person!!! I am 58 years old and I have dealt with a lot of professional people in my life, heads of corporations etc. but never I have met such compassionate, professional, knowledgeable people like Dennis Shillen & Kim!!! Although I am so relieved that this chapter of my life is over and I will have to live in pain the rest of my life I will truly miss my Constant interaction that I had with them. There is no doubt in my mind that God sent these two angels in my life and I am eternally grateful to them and they’re wonderful Law Firm. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and soul for getting me through one of the most horrific times of my life And always believing in me! ✝️
