Zachary J. Smith

Hello. I am a Maine lawyer who specializes in workers' compensation and criminal defense and also practices civil litigation and business law. I worked for McCue Law Office in Hampden for three years and then founded Lawsmith Legal Services in Bangor.

As someone who was in the work force for many years before becoming an attorney, I have extensive knowledge of the demands of the modern workplace and the effects they can have on the human body. I also know about workplace accidents and understand that they can happen to anyone, sometimes with serious consequences. 

I also stand for the legal rights of people who have been accused of crimes. I also work in various areas of civil litigation, especially landlord-tenant disputes, contract disputes, personal injury (tort) claims and defenses, and land disputes (boundaries, easements, lot location, etc.).

Finally, armed with a wealth of knowledge of business law, ranging from securities regulation to partnership formation, I assist entrepreneurs with small business matters.
