Attorney Travis Brennan is a trial attorney who represents clients with claims involving medical malpractice, personal injury, and defective products. He has litigated cases across Maine in both state and federal court. Travis has represented clients with complex medical malpractice claims involving surgical errors, misdiagnosis, and delayed diagnosis, as well as serious personal injury claims involving motor vehicle collisions and dangerous conditions on premises. He recently prevailed in court on behalf of a farmworker who nearly died from working conditions that caused him to devleop a core body temperature of 108. The verdict exceeded $729,000.
Travis values the trust that clients place in him to obtain the best possible results. He has a tireless work ethic, and is relentless in his pursuit of obtaining fair and reasonable compensation for people who have been harmed through no fault of their own. To that end, Travis works closely with his clients to understand how an incident occurred and the myriad of ways that an incident has affected his clients’ lives. This foundation enables Travis to develop powerful legal arguments and serve as a strong and passionate advocate for his clients.
“To effectively represent my clients, it is imperative to understand how an incident―whether it is a collision, a surgical error or a delayed diagnosis―occurred and the impact it has had on my client’s life,” Travis says. “I have found that listening to my clients, spending time at their homes, visiting the scene of an incident, and conducting research are critical to developing the strongest possible legal case.”
Accustomed to facing formidable opponents with lots of lawyers and resources, Travis uses a diverse skill set to develop sound strategies for his cases and to identify nuanced legal issues. Travis’ success is reflected by his "AV Preeminent" rating by Martindale-Hubbell, and his recognition by Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star.”
A Maine native, Travis attended Bowdoin College. Prior to his career as a lawyer, Travis worked for many years as a firefighter and EMT. He attended the University of Maine School of Law. At Maine Law, Travis was an editor on the Ocean & Coastal Law Journal. Following law school, he honed his legal research and persuasive writing skills while serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Jon D. Levy, a former judge on the Maine Supreme Judicial Court. Travis completed a successful tenure at a major law firm in Portland, Maine where he focused on litigation and healthcare law, before joining Berman & Simmons in 2014.
Travis currently serves on the Board of Directors for Pine Tree Legal Assistance and the Nathan & Henry B. Cleaves Law Library.

I presented Travis Brennan with a very difficult case. I was overwhelmed and frustrated. My injuries changed my life and ended my career. From my first meeting with Travis I knew that I had found the best possible lawyer. Due to the complications of my case, I also didn't expect to feel like a priori...
"I have referred many clients who have experienced unfortunate injuries to Travis. I am very impressed with his prompt follow-up, diligence throughout the case, and dedication to achieving the best possible result for the clients. I can't recommend Travis highly enough. He does a great job."
