Shyster

1. He took on my case and did nothing that he claimed he would. 2. He charged me $2,500 to review my case file, clearly stating that that’s all it would cost. After I signed the engagement agreement he hit me up for another $1,700 claiming it was a misunderstand. 3. At my settlement conference, ...the judge hearing the matter stated she needed to disclose a potential conflict of interest, (giving me a choice to decide if a felt it may be a conflict). She stated that the plaintiffs attorneys firm was representing her husbands company in a lawsuit. I decided it was a conflict and was not willing to take the chance so I requested a new judge for another day. In front of the Plaintiffs attorney, his clients and the judge Cyr starts whining “your honor I tried to talk her out of it and he didn’t agree with me”. 4. I repeatedly kept asking when he was going to do as he promised with my case. He just stalled and would tell me he’d call me, set up a time and then never call. 5. After already paying him thousands of dollars he told me he wanted $25,000 as a retainer for trial. Mind you we were in a state of Covid, the courts weren’t hearing cases and had no indication as to when they’d proceed. As of today the court still isn’t hearing cases. 6. He eventually withdrew basically because I wouldn’t give him anymore money. In order to make it look like I was the bad guy, he and his office manager drew up fictitious bills claiming I owed them money. He would forget what he’d told me and get caught in his own lies.

Excellent Advocate, Great Negotiator, Always Accessible. Would Give 6 Stars if I Could

Peter took on my case where several other lawyers had failed. It was like night and day. On hiring Peter, I had a zealous advocate who would answer my phone calls, negotiate well on my behalf, and get a better settlement than I could have dreamed of. I won't comment on the quality of my previous ...representation. When my previous lawyers had just 'kicked the can down the road', Peter took real action, called apposing counsel, "busted their balls" (so to speak), and arranged a settlement that everyone was happy with. He did that within a day or so of my hiring him I lack the words to give Peter the praise he deserves. He took a difficult case and turned it into a fair one. And above all else, Peter is *accessible*. He answers when you call him and he responds to text messages. No talking to some un-named assistant for an appointment sometime next week. If you want a lawyer who will talk to you when you need to talk, Peter is the guy you need to hire.

Professional and Personable. I am so glad he handled my case!

I am very grateful to have found Peter to handle my divorce case. He is stellar at negotiating and step-by-step walked me through the process, including jurisdiction issues and selling marital property. He has taken care of everything with great knowledge, aggressively and sincerely had my best inte...rest in mind throughout the entire ordeal. He did a great job making me aware of all my options in a manner that made sense. Communication with him and his office staff are easy and timely. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an attorney.

Professional, excellent communication

We retained Peter to assist my husband with a Modification of Child Visitation; he was wanting more time with his daughters as they grew up and co-parenting was becoming strained, at best. He spoke to us right away, advised us what he could do to help, his realistic expectations, our expectations, a ...retainer amount, and how the case would proceed. We hired Peter and within weeks, his case was filed and underway. His office worked quickly and efficiently, and kept us informed along the way as the case got started. He represented him zealously at Mediation, and eventually the Final Hearing. Peter was able to get a Modification better than we initially expected and within our budget. Peter’s staff is excellent at communication, relaying information, and answering all those questions that we may feel silly asking, but are important! If we ever have any other issue within his practice area, we would definitely hire Peter again, without hesitation.

license supension due to a traffic violation for a new driver

My son unfortunately got a driving ticket as a new driver. This ticket resulted in a license suspension. I felt the suspension was too extreme given the nature of the violation coupled with the fact my son needed his license for work and to drive to school. I immediately, contacted Mr. Cyr. He did ...not hesitate to speak with me. He took the time to understand my son's situation and the case I brought to him. He was very respectful toward me. He assured me and gave me confidence that he would be able to help my son. During the process, his office was great and efficient at communicating with me and my son all along the way. The day of the hearing Mr. Cyr did a wonderful job stating my son's case and navigating my son through the hearing process. The outcome of the hearing was positive and the suspension was dropped. I am grateful to Mr. Cyr. I know that he will be available should another crisis arise. I highly recommend Mr. Cyr. He will solve frustrating legal issues in a confident and successful manner.
