A fine family law choice

I hired Nancy to represent me in a divorce case that started out as pretty straight-forward but then became exasperatingly protracted thanks to foot-dragging from the other side. Throughout the entire process, Nancy was professional, attentive, and focused on achieving an outcome that was in my best... interest. She answers your e-mails .... she takes your calls ... when you make an appointment, you don't have to first spend 2 hours hanging out in her lobby thumbing through a 6 year old copy of Downeast Magazine - she sees you. She is clearly well known and respected in the hallways of Maine County courts, and, while your atty having cordial relations w/ various clerks, magistrates, mediators etc isn't *supposed* to make any difference when it comes to the merits of your particular claim, we're talking Midcoast Maine here -- the land where all business is personal - so look me in the eye and tell me it doesn't. I'm not suggesting that I'd like to get divorced again just so I can have the pleasure of working w/ Nancy, however if I ever did find myself in the need of a good family attorney, Nancy's is the first number I'd call

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
