I hired Atty. Steve Brown due to his word-of-mouth reputation for handling the types of situation that I currently found myself. I was arrested via summons for Conduct after an Accident and Negligent Driving. I also received a ticket for Failure to Obey Traffic Markings. This incident was more of a ...misunderstanding than an intentional crime on my end. Regardless, the law is the law and I did leave the scene after the accident, as did the other operator. Atty. Brown charged me an extremely reasonable flat fee to represent my interests in the matter whether I wanted to go to trial or work a deal with the State Police. He was very comprehensive when he laid out all of my options, not just the option that might serve him best financially or schedule wise. I was able to speak to Atty. Brown whenever I needed to and he was always available anytime day or night to return my calls. His support staff was great to deal with and very responsive as well. I would like to specifically mention his Paralegal Christina, as she kept me informed of every development at every stage of my case which was drawn out quite a bit longer than the typical case with similar issues. With all of this being said, I opted not to go to trial and Atty. Brown brokered a very good and mutually agreed upon deal. In Court, and through various communications, it was evident the excellent rapport he has with the law enforcement community in the area. And the results of my case were minimized to a small fine and 25 hours of community service. I feel that this component will serve the system much better than a little more revenue from fees and fines would. He also offered to move forward with a motion to annul my "arrest" as the charges were dropped. Needless to say, I was very pleased at the outcome of this case.

Both attorney Brown and his staff are very knowledgeable, courteous, and thorough. I had the scenario of retaining his law office for a case that was very complicated from the... beginning. I was struck by a vehicle as a pedestrian and very seriously injured- an act that was deliberate. The fact that it was intentional made it an extremely difficult case, both in dealing with the criminal aspect as well as the civil. Prior to the end of that case, I was struck from behind by a vehicle while at a light and was seriously injured once again. The stress from dealing with these two incidents was overwhelming. The professionalism with which both of these cases were handled, from beginning to end, by both Attorney Brown and all of his support staff, enabled me to get through these cases both mentally and physically. The outcomes of both of these cases were as good as could be expected considering all of the circumstances. After these experiences, I sincerely hope that nothing else happens that require the services of a law firm. If something else does happen; however, this would be the Attorney that I would call again without hesitation. He would also be the attorney I would refer someone else to if they needed legal help.
