I hired Atty. Steve Brown due to his word-of-mouth reputation for handling the types of situation that I currently found myself. I was arrested via summons for Conduct after an Accident and Negligent Driving. I also received a ticket for Failure to Obey Traffic Markings. This incident was more of a ...misunderstanding than an intentional crime on my end. Regardless, the law is the law and I did leave the scene after the accident, as did the other operator. Atty. Brown charged me an extremely reasonable flat fee to represent my interests in the matter whether I wanted to go to trial or work a deal with the State Police. He was very comprehensive when he laid out all of my options, not just the option that might serve him best financially or schedule wise. I was able to speak to Atty. Brown whenever I needed to and he was always available anytime day or night to return my calls. His support staff was great to deal with and very responsive as well. I would like to specifically mention his Paralegal Christina, as she kept me informed of every development at every stage of my case which was drawn out quite a bit longer than the typical case with similar issues. With all of this being said, I opted not to go to trial and Atty. Brown brokered a very good and mutually agreed upon deal. In Court, and through various communications, it was evident the excellent rapport he has with the law enforcement community in the area. And the results of my case were minimized to a small fine and 25 hours of community service. I feel that this component will serve the system much better than a little more revenue from fees and fines would. He also offered to move forward with a motion to annul my "arrest" as the charges were dropped. Needless to say, I was very pleased at the outcome of this case.
