After telling Laurie about my neurological disability she tried to financially take advantage of me by putting a different price in the contract than what we discussed thinking I would not notice. When I confronted her about it, she refused to respond to me. In my first conversation with Laurie she w...as using vulgarities and then complained to me about how another client is trying to get their money back. Extremely unprofessional. Laurie later decided to withdraw from me case when I had asked her to hire a PI to get necessary paperwork for my case as I was unable to get it myself. Laurie refused. I tried to fight Laurie withdrawing from my case and we had a hearing. At the hearing Laurie LIED to the judge twice stating that I gave her less of a retainer than I really did and then told the judge that I signed a contract that I in fact did not sign. Then Laurie attempted to tell the judge about our conversations in email that are part of the attorney client privilege. Laurie has about the same integrity as Saul Goodman. She is a CRIMINAL Lawyer and should be disbarred. As anyone knows a divorce is a very stressful time emotionally and financially. Laurie was very patient and personable. Attorney Lacoste definitely exceeded my expectations in handling my divorce case. My divorce was a very trying time. Laurie was always there to answer any of my questions. She was very flexible in having face to face meetings that matched my schedule. Same flexibility applied to phone conferenc...es. All questions were answered promptly. If I didn't quite understand the issue or response, Laurie took the time to ensure I understood so I could make an informed decision. It was very clear that Laurie has a wealth of knowledge and experience in dealing in these matters. Laurie displayed an appropriate level of aggressiveness in order to handle my divorce. She had a good sense of when to push back and how hard, and when not to. She had a good feel for what the court would likely decide vs. not, which helped drive many of our decisions which led to settlement outsid...e of the courtroom.
