Corey MacDonald has been an attorney since founding his firm in 2005 representing clients throughout New Hampshire and Massachusetts. He practices all aspects of family law to include divorce, child custody, child support and parenting disputes. In addition, he represents clients charged with crimes in state court. Atty. MacDonald serves as general counsel to licensed alcohol serving establishments throughout New Hampshire. MacDonald also serves as General Counsel to corporations both domestic and international and regularly represents clients in Asia.
Prior to entering the practice of law full-time, MacDonald served for over 18 years in law enforcement. His career spanned the profession from police officer to detective to city prosecutor and eventually to Deputy Chief of Police. While serving as the City Prosecutor he handled hundreds of cases in the district court and circuit court ranging from driving while intoxicated to manslaughter.
MacDonald served as a Sergeant and Detective Lieutenant before being eventually being promoted to the rank of Captain and assigned as the Chief of Detectives. MacDonald was appointed as the Commander of the State of New Hampshire’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task force where he served the State for three years. Since 2006, MacDonald has served as a consultant for law enforcement, public officials and attorneys across the country on topics to include internet crime, school law and safety, drug enforcement, online social networking investigations and media relations.
In 2011, MacDonald was named as one of New Hampshire’s “Top 40 Under Forty” emerging leaders by the New Hampshire Union Leader and NH Business and Industry Association. In May of 2014, he was named as a “Top 10 to Watch” by Seacoast Online and Catapult. In October of 2014, he was awarded the “Young Professional of the Year” award by New Hampshire Governor Maggie Hassan through the Stay Work Play initiative and Rising Stars.
MacDonald has been featured on the television shows, Wired with Jim Braude on NECN, Fox News, The 207 Show on NBC, WMUR and the Paul Sullivan Radio Show on WBZ Boston, WOKQ and WHEB as well as working with ABC News on their 20/20 Program on the rising heroin epidemic in 2014.
