The only regret I have is that I did not go with Sekella Law sooner. I used another attorney first time around and it was night and day once I signed on with Heather. I reached out to Heather regarding a fairly complicated post-divorce, post-alimony dispute related to health insurance coverage for my ex-spouse. After an initial consultation where she educated me as to the uniqueness of my situation, she described a path forward that would provide closure. Thou...gh the issue took over a year to resolve (due mostly to the pandemic) I felt that Heather was attentive to my needs and generally cost-conscious in her approach. In the end things went against me financially which, while unfortunate, was always a possibility. However she did achieve my primary goal of finality without having to go through a trial, so overall I was satisfied which the approach Heather took.

I want to start by saying Heather Sekella and her team, are simply the best. My child custody and name change case was one that had many ups and downs, and unexpected twists and turns that lasted over 2 years. My case meant the world to my family and Heather treated it like that every day during the ...two year period. If I counted them all, I am sure I emailed Heather thousands of times with concerns and questions, many of which were out of worry. Each time Heather along with her paralegal Amanda Gillman responded quickly, providing clarification and knowledge all while alleviating my worry. The most important thing to me was the way Heather personally handled my case. We weren't just some client to her, we were important and each meeting we had, including appearances in front of the judge were handled with the same personal care and professionalism. Also, she had such a positive reputation with the court and others in her field that even the judge in our case expressed feelings of wanting to work with Heather more often. I can say that when I was looking for a lawyer I was lost and not sure what to look for. What drew me to Sekella Law was a review I read about Heather's professionalism and personal touch.
