Child support/ Custody Representation

I appreciated the opportunity to work with Patti and want to offer a balanced perspective for others who may be considering her services. In person and in the courtroom, Patti was always professional, supportive and pleasant to work with. Her office staff were consistently friendly and welcoming, whi...ch made scheduling and office communication a positive experience. However, my case involved complex interstate child support and custody issues and I ultimately found that I needed more responsiveness and legal strategy than I received. Communication was often difficult, as emails frequently went unanswered and it was sometimes challenging to reach her due to time out of the office. One of the most challenging aspects of my experience was a legal issue that I believed was clearly addressed in existing law and case law. I spent significant time (like hours, on hours) researching and sending relevant materials for review, but I did not feel that my concerns were fully acknowledged or explored. The position ultimately taken aligned with opposing counsel and the issue was not pursued further despite the information I provided. Since obtaining new representation, it has been addressed that my interpretation of the law was in fact correct, which was frustrating given the effort I had put into raising it sooner. Overall, while she was kind and supportive, I felt that more concrete strategy and follow through would have been helpful. For straightforward matters, she may be a good fit, but for complicated interstate custody or child support cases requiring frequent communication and detailed legal analysis, my experience suggests it may be worth carefully considering whether the fit is right.

Not a good domestic violence attorney

Patricia LaFrance completely mishandled my high-conflict divorce, leaving me and my four children in a financially devastating position. She failed to fight for adequate alimony and child support, rushed divorce preparations, misrepresented financial details, and pressured me into signing an unfair s...ettlement. Her unprofessional and condescending behavior—including yelling at me during negotiations and even throwing her files on the ground—only added to the stress of an already traumatic situation. I had to fire her and hire a new attorney to fix her mistakes. She cared more about getting paid than advocating for me, refused to take the case to trial, and even opposing counsel admitted she didn’t fight for me. She believed my ex’s lies over my truth, and I will never get over how she took advantage of me during such a vulnerable time. If you’re a domestic violence survivor looking for a strong advocate, do not hire her. If you want more abuse, hire Patricia LaFrance.

As crooked as they come

Will ask for things her clients are not legally allowed to have while having full knowledge of the problem.

Top Notch Service from a Qualified Attorney

By far, Attorney LaFrance from start to finish with my divorce case was extremely professional, well-detailed, informative, understanding and supportive. Communication was also top-notch with Attorney LaFrance. Clearly one can tell that Attorney LaFrance provides the respectful amount of atte...ntion, takes the time to listen and provide effective feedback in a very timely manner. I am very grateful I found Attorney LaFrance who successfully assisted me in the most difficult time of my life from start to finish. Thank you for everything, on behalf of myself and my daughter.

Simply an outstanding attorney

Patricia (Patti) LaFrance esq. Is an amazing attorney. She did a very nice job laying out exactly what my expectations should be during my divorce. She quickly ascertained the nature of my case and the unique challenges that I was left to deal with. She is particularly well versed and known for her a...dvocacy in domestic violence cases. In fact, I was pleasantly surprised when our Judge knew her by first name and referred to her work when she was with the prosecutors office. The judge certainly seemed to value her legal arguments and opinions. Needless to say I got a more-than fair result in my divorce. If I should ever be in the unfortunate need for an attorney then Patti is the very first person I am going to call. Thank you Patti for your incredible effort. It made a big difference for my children and myself.

"I endorse this lawyer. Patricia is my partner. We have worked together for almost five (5) years. She is an amazing advocate for her divorce and parenting clients especially those dealing with domestic violence. Her years as a prosecutor provide her client's with an invaluable amount of advocacy and knowledge about the law. Patricia will fight to protect her client's safety. Also Patricia's prosecuting background is so very helpful for clients that need assistance in criminal matters as well. She is an amazing member of our team."
