Look elsewhere save your money and time

I hired atty Mullen for a divorce made many errors during entire process for an atty who has this many years of experience she was lacking in many areas her personality to start perhaps burnt out doing family law this many years and organization needs improvement spent 20 min handwriting her fees in...stead of having a handout prepared or any general paperwork of the divorce steps and process she talks to you with her lawyer lingo like I've been divorced many times before ! she will give you NO copies or any paperwork it's all emailed her legal advice was below average actually laughable thank goodness I didn't follow her advice the judge didn't even question challenge what I waived! Or what I wanted! she does change her advice not consistent she either forgets or she maybe too busy to give you the full attention to your case I wish I could say she was good or even refer her to anyone I can't , I'm sure there are many unhappy clients with her who haven't written a review I hope she treats her future clients with more professionislm than I got

I am very sorry that you were not satisfied with my services. I stand behind the solid legal advice I gave you based upon my many years of experience and vast knowledge of the divorce laws in this state. I understand that clients sometimes want to do things differently for various reasons, however, it is my job to inform you of the legal ramifications of your choices. The judge is not your attorney and does not give legal advice to litigants. I use email to correspond with clients because it is the most efficient form of communication (and also better for the environment). If you ever asked me for hard copies of documents, I would have provided them to you. I always treated you with courtesy and respect despite not receiving the same treatment from you. I sincerely hope that you find happiness in your future. I wish you and your son the best in life always. To anyone going through a divorce in Bristol County, MA reading this review: I encourage you to schedule a consultation with my office and decide for yourself. As you can see from the multiple reviews on this site from other clients and peers, this review is an outlier and not at all reflective of the services I provide. If you call to schedule a consultation on your divorce case and mention this review, I will waive the consultation fee for the next two months. Do not let one negative review dissuade you. Meet with me and decide for yourself. ~Laurie Mullen

Not in best interest of clients

Laurie Mullen had represented me in my child custody case. This was a complex case and I feel that she misrepresented me. This lawyer charges a 100 dollar consultation fee. Most lawyers are free. I thought i was getting a very good lawyer. Well all she did for me was make deals with my exhusbands law...yer. All togerther the cost was nearly 4000 dollars for two days in court. Now I am having problems again with my ex husband and i knew i needed another lawyer. So i met with a new lawyer and he seems that my lawyer had gone down the wrong route. Ms Mullen was very judgemental and condesending.

I am very sorry that you were not happy with the services you received. Many times in delicate family matters attorneys work together to come up with solutions that work best for your family rather then have a judge make decisions based on very little information. Clients must sign the agreements in court so I never make any "deals" that the client is not aware of or do not approve. I take great issue with being called "untrustworthy" as, after 23 years of practice, I do not have one blemish on my record. I care greatly about my clients and my reputation.
