Robert D. Moriarty

Attorney Robert Moriarty is a man of integrity, commitment and decisive action. Using his knowledge of the OUI laws and RMV policies he scheduled an appeal at the RMV. When that appeal was denied, he did extensive research to collect the necessary data to write a detailed brief to contest the chemical test refusal in an appeal before the judge in the Edgartown District Court. My license was reinstated by the RMV as a result of that judge's ruling based on Attorney Moriarty's brief and my case was dismissed soon after that. Throughout the whole process I trusted Attorney Moriarty to be vigilant about developments in my case and to advocate on my behalf. He always answered my calls, while on the street and in jail. He visited me in jail often and kept me updated frequently on his discussions with the district attorney. He filed several motions that were granted and kept me updated on that as well. He looked at all evidence and was able to get the DA ...to agree to reduce my charge. I was charged with a serious offense, indecent assault battery on a child under 14 and he was able to get it reduced to a simple assault battery as to make me a non sex offender. He works very hard with all his clients and works very well in the courtroom. I like that he can express his concerns with the evidence and get the best possible outcome for his clients through the DA and Judge. He's very persuasive, persistent, and determined to get his clients off of charges. By far the best attorney that I've ever had and I've had many. He is not prejudiced against a person and their crimes, just works with what the evidence is and what he thinks he will be able to get dismissed. He gives good advice regarding going to trial or to take a deal and leaves it up to the client to decide. He gives his input on whether he thinks trial is or isn't the best option and whether a plea deal is best, but he leaves it up to the client to make the decision. I highly recommend him.
