Excellent
I hired Vicki to represent me in a high conflict divorce. She was quickly able to understand my unique needs and guided me through some challenging moments with grace and creativity. Vicki set clear expectations during an emotional and confusing time, and helped me navigate the options that were available to me in order to bring the divorce to a close. I trust Vicki's instincts and was so pleased with the unwavering respect and integrity that she brought to the process; especially when we were contending with the opposite from the other party. I would definitely recommend Vicki to anyone looking for a collaborative lawyer.

Wonderful and Caring
Vicki recently represented me in a divorce and throughout the process she helped me to find my voice. I felt held, cared for and protected all the while knew she was fighting hard for me. Vicki has an amazing combination of kindness and toughness. By the end of the divorce I realized we’d become partners in trying to make sure both my ex and I had a fair and equitable outcome. I have endless respect and appreciation for Vicki, for facilitating and coaching me through this difficult chapter of my life.

Both highly competent and sensitive to the human element
Vicki was a delight to work with during my divorce. She understood that the children were a higher priority to me than getting every last dollar, and she respected that while at the same time reining me in when I was considering decisions that could have done real harm to me financially. She was also genuinely caring and supportive -- qualities that can't be overestimated in the midst of a divorce. In my case, she also immediately grasped the dynamics that make every divorce unique.

Excellent Attorney!
I am grateful to have had the opportunity to work with attorney Vicki Shemin through my divorce. Vicki is a highly motivated and talented attorney who works hard and truly cares about her clients. Her knowledge of the law, creative ability to apply it and passion for legal advocacy make her an excellent choice for someone seeking legal representation in divorce. After my first meeting with Vicki and her colleague Jon Field I was confident I had found the right law office. Vicki did a great job on my case! I was impressed by her professionalism, honesty, excellent legal expertise, good judgment. She is very efficient, detail oriented, and extremely thorough in her preparation. In a week Vicki, Jon and their remarkable team had a deep understanding of my case and came up with the strategy which eventually led to the best possible result of the case. When communicating with Vicki I always felt that I receive the best possible advice for my situation. Everyone in the office was very helpful, organized, and professional. Throughout the divorce process I was fully informed of what was going on with my case. The office team demonstrated excellent communication skills which is extremely important during divorce. My phone calls and my emails were always returned right away. I cannot recommend Vicki Shemin highly enough. She is an amazing attorney as well as a lovely person who is very understanding of the human nature. I am very happy with the outcome of my case and with the way my case was handled which made a hard time in my life a lot easier. Many Thanks! Irene T.

Pre-Nup Counseling
Vicki was extraordinarily thorough with every single detail of the process and I felt I learned not only about the specifics of my case but about the legal processes governing marital law in MA at the same time. I felt like I had an amazing advocate in my corner at every step, and the lengths to which she advised me were unparalleled.

Above-and-beyond empathy and commitment
From the get-go, Vicki made me feel at ease and understood. She didn't just listen to the facts, but read into my tone and sentiment, getting to know my relationship with my fiancee, and keeping our best interests at the forefront. Throughout our prenup drafting process Vicki was always readily available and highly responsive, It's a process that can potentially be difficult and taxing, but Vicki managed to make it a positive experience overall!

Patient, knowledgeable and works hard for her client
I hired Vicki to work out a prenuptial agreement with my fiance. From the start, Vicki noted how the relationship and my family would always come first. Throughout the year process there were definitely ups and downs, and throughout these I saw how she really did put our relationship and family first. She offered great advice, next steps, and would suggest breaks when needed. Vicki was patient and very knowledgable and although she was representing me, I felt that she understood my partner and his wants and demands and how we could come to a mutually beneficial agreement. I always appreciated her patient approach to working out a solution. And her experience in her field really shows!

Prenuptial Agreement Assistance
I retained Vicki Shemin for assistance with a prenuptial agreement, as I trust her years of family law experience. Since it is quite difficult to entertain the idea of ending your marriage right as you are starting it, I was grateful to have Vicki's guidance. While I had come into the process thinking I had some idea of what my fiancé and I wanted, Vicki quickly raised many safeguarding issues we had not even thought to consider. I appreciated the fact that she walked us through the process, gave me the information I needed while also helping me in weighing options as a future married couple, while also advising me of my own rights under the law. While she always advocated for my needs, she never made the process adversarial and worked collaboratively with my husband and his attorney. Not only is Vicki a consummate professional and an expert in her field, she also has a calming and compassionate demeanor. She made a potentially difficult experience as easy and pleasant as possible and allowed us to enter our marriage without the tension this process can bring.

A perfect choice
I worked with Vicki for my entire divorce, and couldn't have been more pleased with her work. She gave me a steady stream of wise input while maintaining her patience and sense of humor throughout what proved to be a difficult and contentious divorce. I highly recommend Vicki, especially if you are interested in a collaborative process, which is absolutely her strength.

Attorney Shemin is the whole package
I am a mental health professional who has consulted with Attorney Shemin for a number of years, and I know her to be "the whole package." As both an attorney and a social worker, her expertise in custody litigation is informed by great sensitivity and cognizance of interpersonal dynamics. She has been an extremely valuable resource with regard to legal standards, principles, and the very latest court decisions, and I am confident that her practice is state-of-the art. Alongside her legal savvy is wisdom. She is the rare professional who knows when to take the tough, hard line, and when compassion is called for.

Vicki Shemin as a consultant
I have known Attorney Shemin in a Consultation capacity. I am a forensic psychologist who has called Vicki with complex questions concerning family law. Vicki is thoughtful and always ask the right questions to fully flesh out a case. She is able to gather information in a probative manner and able to formulate a case well. She has a significant amount of information at her fingertips - and if she doesn't know she says so and then gets answers. She is immensely helpful both in grasping the essentials of a case and helping determine the best path to pursue. She is smart, savy, and a great listener. She is able to succinctly offer information that gets to the "heart" of a situation with very helpful resolution.
