Susan Stamps has been a divorce attorney since she began the practice of law in 1988. She is also knowledgeable in tax law and other financial matters pertinent to family law. Susan strives to resolve each case in the fairest way possible. Although she discourages unnecessary conflict and litigation and settles most of her cases, she has an excellent trial record. "My clients seem happy with my direct, and inclusive style of interaction, and I achieve good results for them by focusing on what is really important." Susan is also available to mediate divorces, represent clients in collaborative law cases, and review settlements for clients who have mediated with other practitioners. She offers community workshops on various aspects of divorce and has given professional training sessions on tax issues in divorce.
Susan received her law degree from Northeastern University in 1987. She is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and is a past participant in its Family Law Legislation Practice Group. She is also a member of the Massachusetts Family and Probate American Inn of Court and a member and former Executive Board member of the Massachusetts Council on Family Mediation. She was an associate, then partner, of the Concord firm of Arnold & Kangas, P.C. for 13 years before opening her own law firm in 2001.

She got the best settlement possible in a tough divorce case
Susan got the best settlement possible in a difficult case where the other party was lying. In addition, I hired her midway through the case because I did not see a good outcome with my existing lawyer. Kudos to her and her paralegal Laura Sirois!

A pleasure to work with Susan Stamps
Susan did an excellent job helping me through my divorce. She listened, counseled, supported and encouraged me during the difficult process. Getting divorced is never easy. I felt good having Susan on my side. I have already passed her name on to friends and will continue to do so.
